If I wrote everything I loved about this hotel I could write a novel. The owners have made sure every detail in the rooms is to their high standards and it shows. It's probably the nicest hotel we stayed at traveling across the Uk and Ireland! AND THE CHEAPEST! We could not believe it! When we check again in a couple of years, we know it will be twice the price due to the value! The location is right down the street from the castle and also WRU stadium. Tons of good food and pubs all around. Just outside is the City Arms pub. Cheap casket ale pints of Brains! The hotel also has a lovely Terrace as well where we had some evening drinks and met the night manager. We must have spoken with him for about 30 mins about our respective countries. In the morning, we went downstairs to have breakfast and were greeted by the staff. Everyone was so polite and welcoming it was amazing to see. The spread of food and breakfast itself was so extensive. Again the attention to the details show. The food was simply delightful. When checkout, we told the staff we were going to walk around for the day and they welcomed us to use the washrooms and grab some water before we left. I never write reviews but knew I had to for this place. It's special and the owners to the staff are so kind and welcoming. We loved it so much that my wife and I wanted to do another day just in Wales. Thanks again and thanks for such amazing memorable time for us.

Fabulous hotel with a delightful outdoor lounge (and a well-stocked bar) and the best scrambled eggs my mum had ever had at the included breakfast. Service throughout was personable and attentive, but never overwhelming. And the Spanish/Welsh breakfast spread was fantastic!The bed was super comfy, the air conditioning was excellent, and the street noise was pretty well muffled considering the heart-of-the-action location. The castle, national museum, high street with lots of restaurants and shopping, and other attractions are within easy walking distance.The only downside was the barn-style door to the bathroom that didn't quite provide perfect privacy, but it was easily overlooked considering the overall comfort and the Bluetooth-connected speaker/radio.

Wow! Hidden gem, I’m not sure how we found Parador 44 but it was a great choice! The staff is kind and friendly, helpful in every way. The food is amazing as well as the rooms. It was more of an experience than a two day stay. They have a lovely living room with an honesty bar and snacks. The rooms were generous in size and the bathrooms spotless and roomy. We loved the vibe at this place. The restaurant is Spanish food, fresh ingredients and the owners are on site. I cannot oversell this place! Winner winner!!!

Spanish rustic charm with atmosphere. A nice place to be. The residents lounge has a well stocked honesty bar with complimentary tea & coffee.

This was our second visit here. Great location being close to the station. Friendly service, lovely Spanish-style breakfast options. We loved the room decor and the honesty lounge bar is very welcome. Just need some softer pillows. We'll be back soon.

Lovely hotel with everything you need right in the city centre. We can also recommend the restaurant Asador 44 underneath, it was an absolute pleasure!

Such a nice relaxing stay. Stunning room, amazing shower and a great honesty bar. It’s a shame the weather was bad, it would have been nice to have enjoyed the terrace. Looks like I’ll have to book again in the summer!

Beautiful Spanish themed boutique hotel right in the heart of Cardiff city centre. We stayed for one night and were very impressed with how comfortable the room was with lovely Spanish touches throughout - and that shower! The staff were excellent and very helpful.The hotel also has a relaxing guest lounge with a fully stocked bar and complimentary coffee / tea, perfect for chilling out with a good book, and a lovely outdoor terrace which would be perfect on a warm summers evening.I note a few reviews raving about the breakfast in the linked restaurant Asador 44, and those reviews are fully justified. The Spanish twist on the traditional English breakfast is superb!All in all, highly recommended!

Exceptional! Our room was beautiful with a huge bathroom and there was a private lounge for residents with rooftop terrace. Dinner and breakfast in the restaurant were both amazing! Thank you to Adam and the restaurant staff who were just lovely, nothing was too much trouble, I can’t recommend this place enough!
