I mostly do a smart shop using the nectar app on my phone to scan my shopping and Google pay. Good deals to be had doing it this way. However, if you buy alcohol you have to go to a checkout to get authorised via a QR code on the nectar app and ofter they have no scanner at the till which causes a hold up.

Note to staff when I come in and ask for a certain brand off cigarettes and you can't find them which is ok,but don't accuse me of lying and say I'm making it up which I find funny ,and them you find them which made my day,but if you must slag me off remember I can hear you behind your scree,I wasn't rude but you definitely were

Tonight I went into Sainsbury's in Penarth at about 10pm to buy some cider and some cigarettes. The man behind the counter, without looking up, asked me for ID before even saying hello and proceded to elaborate that this was because I looked about 12." Good range for a local store, staff helpful and friendly and the shop is well presented. Using the scan and shop app they have makes it a really quick experience. Occasionally a wait for the checkout but usually it is quick.
