Devon Camper Hire

We hired Bertha camper van for a 5 night stay during Glastonbury and she was everything we hoped for. Matt showed us how everything worked before we set off and the whole hiring process was very straightforward. The camper van is fully equipped for self catering including pots, pans, kettle, crockery and electric hook up and gas for the stove. The bed is very comfortable and we enjoyed a sound sleep each night. There are also two fold away chairs which were very useful. We had a wonderful Glastonbury experience and were very comfortable in the camper van, we would definitely recommend this hire company and would use them again in the future.

We had a wonderful time in Matt’s van. Super comfy and the cooking facilities were excellent. Matt also went above and beyond for us to make sure we had a lovely holiday.

We're considering buying a camper like the ones Devon Camper Hire offer, so thought we'd try renting before taking the plunge. We took 'Bertha', as we were travelling with dog, and immediately fell in love with her. What a brilliant way to see the country!As first time camper-vanners, we were a little worried that we'd struggle with knowing how to work everything properly, but the simplicity of these things is something to behold. Managed to get the (optional) awning up with no problems on the first evening, and found everything we needed for a cosy week of touring.The service was great. Matt gave a very thorough explanation of how everything worked when we picked her up, let us leave our car on his drive all week, and was very flexible when we at the last minute asked to extend our rent for a night because we were having such a good time. The van was clean inside and out, and everything worked as it should.I'd definitely recommend hiring the optional awning if you want a bit of extra space. You put it up by inflating rather than tent poles which saves a lot of faff, and is drive away so you can detach the van to explore for the day whilst leaving your 'camp' set-up.All in all, I can honestly say this was one of the best holidays I've ever had and the van was a huge part of that. Thank you!

Great camper van for our festival, brilliant and flexible service. It was kitted out with everything required for our stay and I would recommend hiring the awning for extra space and also the toilet for convenience. Everything was run through and explained with patience and detail so when we arrived at our destination we were confident in setting up. Really nice to drive and quite economical on fuel. Would not hesitate to hire again if available for my future trips and it will be my first point of call now.

We had a fantastic time away in the camper, just the two of us! We spent 3 nights away and probably slept better than at home! The van had everything you need and was more spacious than we expected.We would thoroughly recommend using this company as they explained how to use everything and had breakdown cover too, should the unexpected happen.

We hired Bertha from Devon Campervan Hire for a week in October 2019, with a view to trying one out before we purchased one. Matt was excellent throughout the whole process and made the entire experience very easy from start to finish. As for the van, she took some getting used to at first, but we soon settled into a routine and had a great week in the Cotswolds, even though the weather wasn't great. If you fancy a truly get away from it all break, try it!
