Tower Square
Great bit of history in between all the new modern buildings. Important to keep the heritage and this was a steam powered wagon hoist that used to sit between 2 viaducts to lower them into the goods yards below. Keeping history alive :)

Part of leeds industrial heritage. A wagon lift once 1 of 4 situated in the Leeds Central railway station that closed in 1964. This are should still be a station. Another example of shocking decisions around transport planning in major cities in the 60s. The Tower is well worth seeing if you are interested in railway history.

Great piece of leeds history, was once part of leeds central station, used to lift trucks from the lower level goods station to the higher level passenger line above, the grade 2 listed structure is the only remaining building of the old station.

One of the very preserved historical buildings in town. Great pictures can come out from it, due to the old surrounded by the new. I love it. A stone building surrounded by modern glass ones

Listed historic building. Sadly, it is overshadowed and becoming somewhat insignificant by the huge new office buildings around it (April 2021). Council should have kept a wider open space around this period property.

Surrounded by modern buildings, this is a disused tower that used to house a steam powered lift for good wagons using Leeds Station.

An interesting historical landmark hidden within the modern commercial buildings. This tower is a fascinating site that keeps a bit of history in the modern area.

Beautiful exhibition for light night Leeds, quieter than the other ones. Really well run. My son absolutely loved this and we could easily push our pram around this area.
