Friendly service, went in because the hinge on my glasses were broken and I needed an eye test anyway. The fine chap sorted the hinge out for free!Sales were friendly and helpful. They'll try and upsell you or get you to sign up for their payment plan to buy more glasses, but most places seem to be doing similar nowadays, and you can just say no.

I am utterly disappointed with my recent experience at Vision Express Manchester Arndale Shopping Center. I had scheduled an eye test for 13:45 (24/09) on a busy Sunday, incurring parking charges just to get there. As a first-time visitor to this store, I struggled to locate it within the shopping center and ended up arriving 6 minutes late.Upon reaching the reception desk, they acknowledged my appointment and seated me. However, my frustration peaked when, after an 11-minute wait, I was informed that they couldn't proceed due to their strict policy of not accommodating even a 1-minute delay. I felt deeply let down and discriminated against, having invested time and money in this visit, only to be turned away for what seemed like an unreasonable excuse. This experience has left me completely disillusioned, and I sincerely hope that the company takes steps to prevent such disappointments in the future, as they've lost not just my present business but also any future potential business.

Should’ve Gone to Specsavers! AVOID! As others have said, the fact they are called Vison 'Express' when I ended up waiting 5 weeks for 2 pairs of glasses costing in excess of £400 is definition of ironic! One pair arrived half hanging out of the frames and when I mentioned this was told ‘but the lens is secure’ even though there was a clear gap on one side which looked ridiculous, bear in mind I paid not far off £300 for this first pair of glasses with super thin lenses! They had to returned to the technicians to get repaired properly but they failed to tell me this! Lucky, I called up to check first as all I was told was come back in a couple days, we’ll fix them in store for you! The other pair took even longer, and I was told they must have failed the strict 14-point check system they use and been sent back which is hilarious when the first pair were so badly fitted, quality control must have been on annual leave that day. I rang them countless times trying to get updates eventually speaking to the manager who apologised and promised me he was going to keep me updated and call me back straight away that day after he chased it, of course I got no call back at all and I had to chase the following week having still heard nothing, just getting further excuses and apologies from the manager. Eventually picked up both pairs to find the first set had a chip in the frame and was told nothing further could be done about it and they were discontinued but I could return them and pick another pair. Needless to say, I wasn’t game for waiting another 5 weeks for a pair of glasses so one thing I can’t fault is the 100-day return policy. After having the glasses for a week and thinking about it I simply returned them in store and got my full refund. I have found a local independent optician in Bolton offering the same frame and options for £70 less and that’s their normal price, whereas Vision Express were claiming they had given me 30% off the first pair. It just shows how over inflated their prices are to start with, then they add on an offer! So, when you think you’re getting a good deal there, ask yourself are you really getting a deal! I would recommend searching online, visit your local independent optician as you may find they are cheaper, and you know the service will be better or failing that go to Specsavers instead!

We drove 50 min through traffic to attend this store and they didnt have the grace to see me despite telling them im diabetic and i urgently needed some advice and an eye test. I was just 9 min late.Their policy is ridiculous with no grace at all you are better off at specsaver or any other place. My name is vicken rama if you need a reference.

Avoid! Shocking customer service and poor communication, well, no communication really! After waiting 1 month and no communication whatsoever, went to collect my glasses which I paid £150 to be repaired. 1 month later, my wife went in to collect and was given my old / broken glasses. I phoned and was told that the order “was cancelled” (not by me). They did however keep my £150. Later they told me it was cancelled because I hadn’t collected them in 1 month, despite the fact that they never informed me that they were ready to collect. 4th visit today to attempt a collection of the repaired glasses. Oh BTW these glasses are less than 1 year old and no warranty, hence £150 for repair. Only one word springs to mind, “incompetent”!

This is the second time I have had the most horrible experience as a customer. in 2021 I came for first time to change my glasses and I got sold varifocal glasses, nearly 3 times more expensive that the standard glasses £315.50, and it was using my own frames. After 2-3 weeks I returned asking to change it as the varifocal make my vision tired as there is not focus on the both sides' vision. Now this Saturday 2nd september 2023 I came for test and glasses change again. There was a young lady that wasted my time for 3 hours as she forgot the password in the system, then changed the prices of the chosen frames twice she changed the price (writing with a pen) from £85 to £99 on the product’s tag, at the end I have accepted to go with one frame for £85 and the second one for £99. As she had problems in the system and could not complete my credit pass, then I accept to pay all the money for the first frame and eye test and the lady said that the price of the frame is £99. Off course I paid just the test and left the place. Very disappointed as Vision Express do not care about the client.

Terrible experience when I was doing their eye test + initial contact lens assessment + free trial. The first day I went to do for the eye test, everything seems fine for me, just the contact lens free trial were out of stock. So, on the next appointment for contact lens assessment, I was told to pay for £35 after trying on a pair of contact lens and they say you couldn't bring back the rest of it to try. If you sign for the scheme, you may bring the rest and you may just need to pay £75 for the scheme for the first 3 months. The funniest is they only let me try on a pair of contact lens with just few minutes in my eyes, how am I suppose to know is this contact lens suit me or not. But I do ask the customer service about the process. It was totally different with what I experience. The £35 is just to get the signed prescription after trying the free trial contact lens. I could no need to pay anything, is just I won't get a signed prescription. Very disappointed.

My partner and I were quite disappointed by our recent visit to Vision Express at Manchester Arndale Shopping Centre. We had scheduled eye tests for 13:45 on a busy Sunday and had to pay for parking just to get there. As newcomers to this location, we found ourselves disoriented within the shopping center and arrived six minutes late together.Upon reaching the reception desk, our appointments were confirmed, and we were seated. However, our frustration grew when, after an 11-minute wait, they informed us that they couldn't accommodate us due to their strict policy, which does not allow even a one-minute delay and they are scheduled to have lunch at 14:00. This experience felt awful and aggravating, especially considering the time and money we had invested in this outing. We left this encounter extremely upset, and we sincerely hope that the company reevaluates its policies to prevent similar inconveniences in the future. Regrettably, they have not only lost our future business but also any possibility of us returning.

I went there only for my Regular eye test, including scan.Already by the time I enter the store they were trying to sell me the insurance plan they have. While doing my exams, the optician ask me if I like to do the scan, I said Yes, and it has been done.Back outside, they again trying for me to buy the insurance plan, when I repeat I just want my exams, I would not buy anything at the moment. This time the staff told me they dont give the test away.I was speechless, how is it that you pay for a test and don't receive the results? It does not make any sence. The end, they charged me only the eye test, not the scan, and when I Rang back to enquiry about my doubts, the staff said I never made the scan.Such a stress and scam. The only thing they want is sell the monthly plan. Also the Equipments are not clean and sterelized properly.Don't recomend.

The worst customer service ever. I had so far 3 appointments and the all 3 I was never admitted on time. Just a gentle recommendation, if you book a person for a certain time please follow the schedule.Actively thinking of changing my contact lenses provider.
