Derby Register Office

Me and my wife got married on oct 25th and we both couldn't be happier with the way it went, the staff went above and beyond to guide us through and helped to calm me down, absolutely brilliant.

My appointment was at 11:40 this morning. I arrived just before 11:30 but didn't get seen until 12pm. When I was called into the registration room, the Deputy Registrar accused me of not coming on time which was not true. I was sat in the waiting area for over 30mins, seems there was a communication breakdown between the blonde lady at the reception desk and the Deputy Registrar. Very unprofessional. Apart from that the appointment to register my sons birth was straightforward.

Used the services of Derby Register Office three times and always found them very professional, helpful and friendly. Really feel confident in thier ability to do thier job. Very pleased with the service provided. If you have a choice I would recommend Derby Register Office.

Arrived on Time to Register New Born Baby. Everything went fine up until the point of payment. Awful communication. Nowhere did it say Card only. I had more than enough cash present and Card was available in my car short walking distance. But, still made me do it ONLINE. Its been a 2 weeks and still not received my New born Birth Certificate. Definitely don't recommend these cowboys. Utter joke of a staff sitting in offices not willing to help. They see you at reception but carryon on with out welcoming you. Then proceed to be Rude like others have stated. Quite shocking to be honest. Expect to be treated with a certain level of respect, especially when you're paying for a service.

Today my daughter registered her sons birth. Obviously I don't expect same process as when I registered my kids births from 1991 to 2005. It use to be simple. No appointments needed. Drive there park outside (no parking charges), register the birth with only the card / letter from hospital given at the time of birth and there you go.1. Appointments needed. No problem with that. While being there today someone turned up without an appointment. Despite no one else there that parent not seen. Loss of funds to city council & paying wages for no work.2. Only one parents allowed. Ok with covid 19 understandable.3. Marriage Certificate. Since when has it become unlawful to have a child only in marriage.4. Father's passport. What if father isn't here for any reason.5. Bring baby with. Why? In that case from when will we have to bring dead body in order to register a death.It's a Joke.

We had our wedding ceremony at the registry office in August. The staff, the room and the ceremony were all perfect. A big thank you to Lisa and Ibrar for all their work on the day, both so lovely and professional.

I called the provided number on google, got stuck waiting for an extended amount of time, when I got through to an operator I was placed on hold for 4 minutes and then the call was ended on their end. Not a great experience NGL

Had a beautiful wedding done here. Can't thank them enough for there help and support and making mine and my husbands day the best day of our life's. Highly recommend. Thank you Royal Oak House your the best ever. X
