Grove Car Park, Hamsterley Forest
Beautiful area to go for a walk whether it be a robust ramble or a gentle stroll. There is an entrance fee per car but it is worth it.There is a large car park with a big block of toilets and a small shop and cafe nearby. The area is beautiful even when it's raining or even snowing.A lovely big play area for children with lots of obsticles, a challenge for them. Lots of people take their dogs and there is plenty of space for them to have a roam but there is a road to be aware of.A lovely place to have a picnic. Well worth a visit.

MTB tracks at Hamsterley are among the the best in the UK. Car park is well located on the trails.

A mixture of walking trails and cycling routes. However, at £6 to park for anything over an hour, it is on the expense side if you are there for a shorter visit. There is a £1.50 for up to an hour but this is not quite long enough for a family walk.

Plenty of car parking £6 for day, but food and drink was expensive, captive audience, no choice, thirsty or hungry pay the price.Otherwise great day out.Would have been 5 star if food and drink wasn't rip off.

Handy place to park when the forest is busy like bank holidays. Away from all the facilities like toilets and the cafe but if you just want to get away on your bike or walking a good place to start off from. Right near the bottom of the transmission triple, but easily linked up to the DH trails, black or rest of the red.
