Weston Hall Hotel

A very nice independent hotel which is part of the Best Western chain. Our stay was very relaxing.There are a lot of walks in the area although you might need to drive for some of them.The rooms were comfy, the food was good, breakfast at the weekend was a buffet during the week it is table service.There were 2 weddings while we were here.

Rooms and decor are dated.Our hair dryer in the room was not working correctly and has an out of date PAT test.We had dinner included in with our room, but due to 2 functions at the hotel we could not have our evening meal until 8pm, this was not told to us until we checked in at 5pm. We were the only people in the restaurant and seemed we were served the same food that the functions were served, in which case, why could we not eat earlier?Staff were friendly and apologetic but I feel the hotel needs investment, either that or it’s being wound down for closure.As a group of 4, we were all disappointed with our stay.

The first room had no WiFi so we informed reception who moved us to a different room of different style which was fine. There was a function on which would have been nice to have been told prior to checking in or at booking time as the noise was hard to listen to. Would not have stayed if had known but they had already taken the money and we didn't find out until check in. The function also meant that there was no food available until 7 30 for guests. There had been no doombar beer for weeks. Why not unless there is a shortage! Service was good considering it looked like everyone was doing 2 jobs or more at a time! Place has damp patches dotted about and needs repairs.But lovely location, nice staff and food was good.

What can we say about this stunning Hotel!The staff were very helpful and nothing was too much bother. We really felt for them as their was a burst water main in the village which cut off all the water to the hotel. They did everything that they could do. Fortunately the water came back on around 16:00hrs to the ground floor rooms. We were on the top floor and our water didn't come back on till around 06:00hrs the following morning. We were a little upset as we were going to a function and had built up a sweat getting the room ready amongst other things. The manager bent over backwards and gave us a room on the ground floor so that we could have a bath / shower before the function. We couldn't thank them enough for everything that they did. We stayed as a stop over on route back from France so arrived late, but staff welcomed us, also had replied to my email that we would not arrive till 10pm. Good nights sleep and great breakfast in the morning. Staff all great and rooms very clean with great shower.

My sister got married here only a couple of years ago, it was very uncomfortable having the general public staring at us all out of the restaurant.They force you to have their DJ who was terrible, we had to constantly recommend him songs etc. They ended up giving her the wrong wedding cake the day after, god knows how long it has been in the fridge for.The staff also said they would put out her lanterns she bought and light the candles outside which the staff forgot to do.Evening food was poor, just a stack of pork baps in a weird location.

Had a family gathering and they were very accommodating. Seems like not enough staff to run the place effectively as over a weekend found reception had to leave post to serve bar and Visa versa. Breakfast was very slow and missed one order off. Got the tea coffee ordered and then had to wait ages for someone to come back to take food order, which then took an extraordinary amount of time to arrive. Grounds are very nice and rooms clean and tidy.

A hotel that I visit almost every year for work reasons.The hotel serves its purpose, being relatively close to Coventry.A nice bar, the food is good. The rooms and decor are dated and in need of an update.Will I come back? Yes. Ideal for short business trips.

We have run eight two-day training sessions with an overnight stay for participants and trainers at Weston Hall this year. There are so many things to love about Weston Hall, in particular the staff who are so helpful and accommodating (Graham and Luke - superstars). They have provided everything we have needed to deliver training successfully. The food has been superb, and the bar is very reasonably priced. Some of the decor is tired, and we had a couple of issues with hot water supply, but the amazing staff compensate for these issues. However, the thing that lets Weston Hall down as a corporate training venue is the poor wifi. This has been reasonable in the training rooms, but variable (and sometimes non-existent) in bedrooms, and this isn't great for people on a business trip. Staff have done their best to make local improvements, but clearly the system needs upgrading if the venue wants to continue to offer business accommodation.
