Chanced upon the best ice cream ever- fortuitously vegan.I had salted caramel and hazelnut- delicious.Very large scoops made it good value too for the quality.

I used to absolutely love this place, family run, organic produce, staff are great and Independent. We have been going here for years. We love supporting businesses that are independent and we make a point of travelling further to do so. However going in today and buying a small bit of produce nothing too much, but the shock for me was £1.68 for 1 pepper. You’re taking us for a ride there! I paid £37.65 for 16 items, 90% of my shopping was veg! When I said £1.68 for a pepper the woman behind the counter said ‘yeah’ as if that was normal! No, not normal and quite frankly won’t be going back to support this business. The ice cream is vegan and delicious, contrary to a negative review on here about cost, it is actually less expensive than other local ice cream stores and £4.75 for three large scoops is terrific value for the delicious product. The coffee is of very high quality too. Enjoy the flavours. Deffo 5 stars.

Went here today to buy and refill some laundry detergent, ended up wanting to buy their larger options available (5l refill). As like many other reviews on here, the price didn't match what was priced upstairs to their till, when questioning this we were met with a rude and accusatory response. As I went up stairs to double check and find the correct" item which the staff upstairs were much more helpful

Good selection of products, prices ok. Customer service needs improvement. Upstairs staff can be standoffish and brisk. Overheard a female member of staff (upstairs) area moaning about customers the other day.

I cannot believe some of the low ratings on this establishment as I have been coming and recommending this place for over 10 years now. The only reason I have given it a 4 star ratings is because I had a significant discount as a valuable customer one day and the next time I was ignored by the same person. I think most of the issues happen downstairs anyway as I wouldn't buy my supplements from anywhere else. The staff upstairs are amazing!!!!

I've always liked this store (their selection of vegan cheese is seriously impressive) but what prompted me to actually write a review about it was the amazing above-and-beyond care we received from the manager who saved our Thanksgiving! I'm an American expat living in London for 12 years, but Thanksgiving is still an important time for me. I have only been vegan for a little over a year, so I'm still navigating these things. I wanted to find a Tofurky holiday roast, but no one carried it! The manager at the Haelan Centre ordered one specially for us and it arrived in good time for our holiday. My carnivorous husband even loved it! I got everything I needed for our feast. Thank you for helping me create a special holiday. :)

I didn’t appreciate being yelled at by the sweaty staff member in the sleeveless top after they had barged past me for the second time.Perhaps an anger management course would be appropriate once they’ve learned so manners.Avoiding

Not one to usually write reviews but feel compelled to due to the rudeness of the staff here. I was really, really upset by the way I was treated today. The girl I spoke to at the counter (I wanted to swap an item for another I had literally just bought and had proof that I did) was incredibly rude from the outset and when I asked to speak to a manager she huffed off saying he would just say the same, came back, said just that. I asked to speak to the manager myself and she said he was too busy! Her utter contempt for me was evident and she made me feel small and an absolute nuisance in front of the other customers. For a small local business in the midst of the Covid crisis you'd really think people would want to keep their loyal customers happy. Turns out not in their case. A shame because I enjoy their stock. Small businesses rely on word of mouth, a shame I will be telling my local friends and family of my experience today and all for a £6 room spray I just wanted to swap.EDIT: the manager contacted me after I emailed and said my above comments aren't accurate. I did speak to the manager in the store after she was begrudgingly hailed over. She explained I couldn't swap the item because of health and safety. We are talking about a room spray. They said I 'used' it, because I had tested it by spraying it once at home and then coming straight back (I live 5 mins away) and therefore could not exchange it even though they accept there were no testers. It's all irrelevant - my complaint here on google is about the awful customer service (experienced by other reviewers also), not the policy.

I have been coming here now for a long time as I always find what I want in this shop. One thing I've always liked is the welcoming environment you get when you come to the shop. I have to say one staff member Sarah was particularly helpful and pleasantShe was always professional, friendly and polite and a great asset to the company, but imagine my surprise when I go back in and she's no longer there, along with other staff members that have come and gone fairly rapid. I find staff retention is a real problem in both shops as I use the Park road one too, I never find staff are there longer then a few months which is a shame, I suspect bad management and lack of appreciation for the staff is not a good trait. Value your staff as its an integral part of any business
