Sing and Play Peterborough
I started learning the piano with Darren as a complete beginner at the beginning of the year. I really enjoyed our weekly lessons and feel that I made good progress under his tutelage. He was always very encouraging, well prepared and made the lessons accessible and fun. Darren was always happy to provide me with any materials I needed to practise at home and he provided an environment conducive to learning. I would recommend him to anyone interested in learning to play the piano.

I learnt to play the piano originally from the age of 8 years to my early twenties, but stopped when I got married. I went for my first piano lesson with Darren in July 2017. Prior to this I had not touched a piano for over 40 years. The last eight months, through the skill and expertise of Darren, I have been able to re-learn a lot of my forgotten skill.s Darren is a very accomplished pianist and teacher and makes every lesson a joy. His knowledge of the piano is amazing, so he is able to teach me the technique behind the notes. This has opened up a new world for me and helps me to understand the skill of the composer. I look forward to my weekly lesson and wholeheartedly recommend Darren as a first class piano teacher.

Darren is great - always inventive, imaginative and interesting. I've had piano lessons with him for 6 months now and they are truly a highlight of my week. HIs knowledge of music theory is remarkable, and his passion for tunes unmatched. Darren is fantastic teacher, and I full heartedly recommend him.

I have singing lessons with Darren and can honestly say I leave every lesson having noticed a marked improvement in my vocal ability. Darren is so easy and fun to work with, really knows his stuff, and I would recommend his services as a teacher (and having heard him sing and play, a musician!) to anyone wishing to improve not only their musical ability, but their confidence too!
