Avoid this feral, desperate for money lot. I have just started legal proceedings against them. I am hoping I can retrieve a most important item of machinery from them, so they cannot steal / rip someone else off with a substantial amount of money ever again.! This feral lot clearly pick their victim. I can only imagine the bar bill at the Bladnoch Inn!They bully women and steal substantial amounts of money and do not deliver the goods.I look forward to the day these bunch of tramps are no longer able to trade.Shame on you Dowling, Steve & Martyn ,the booze won in the end! What a pitiful, sad , pathetic bunch of losers you have become! I once respected your craftsmanship. Now you are treading water in a cesspit!Look forward to your day in court and Sheriff's officers decimating that shambles of a once highly regarded company. You will not have so much as a biro left! Shame on you , what a bunch of losers !

Beautiful and unique stoves. Also a gallery of paintings and an antique shop, lovely to browse round, good prices and friendly people. There's also a recording studio on the site and other crafts.

Quite simply the best household purchase we've ever made. Bought our Little Devil 4 years ago, and we sing its praises every winter. Surprisingly large heat output for such a small wood burner - keeps our 3 bed semi comfortable with seldom need to put the gas boiler on. Very accommodating staff as they did custom work for us at no extra charge. We cannot thank Dowling stoves highly enough for their excellent quality craftsmanship.

Bought a Dowling stove last autumn 2022 and picked it up and transported home in my Defender. Arranged local installers who fitted a new liner at the same time. As you might expect there were a few little tweaks required, my house is over 300 years old! Since the install it has worked perfectly. I bought a Sumo and it's great. Will see me out for sure. Having had a winter to use it I wouldn't hesitate buying one of these stoves. The owners Martyn and Steve were helpful and knowledgable. I think it's important if you live outside their area to get good quality fitters.

iv known Dowling over 30 years, I payed him £1500 in advance two guys arrived at my house to so call ? fit the stove they have left my chimney unsafe the guy who went up the ladders sat on one chimney pot which moved while he dragged up the chimney liner on unsafe ladders? Dowling promised to replace the chimney pot his two so called experts arrived with a chimney pot and have never came back to replace it or remove the one that is cracked? My children play around the house and when i asked Dowling's men would the cracket chimney be safe he said he didn't know. I asked Dowling to fix the chimney with a new chimney pot i explained the fact my children play around my house and chimney could crash down on them, Dowling refused to fix the problem saying the money i payed was all used up??these people are putting others at risk of serious injury, they are a rouge company who send out armatures to try and fit stoves, Dowling doesn't care about anyone getting hurt because of his ill unexperienced men he sends out to fit his stoves, he has left us with a cracked chimney and the one next to it unsafe due to his so called chimney fitters sitting and balancing on chimney. Stay clear of Dowling stoves i am going to contact my solicitor and health and safety about Dowling stoves they don't care about the customer they take your money and you end up with dangerously fitted stoves my chimney is cracked Dowling left another chimney hear but refused to return to fit the replacement one his so called stove men left. This company should be shut down they ripped me off of £1500 and have left my chimney pot in a dangerous condition. If i could leave no stars in my review i would Dowling stoves are a total nightmare stay clear of this cowboy firm

Excellent stovesOurs is over 20 years old and still going strong

After paying this company 900 pounds ( that was only half the payment)back on 9th June 21. My delivery arrived today, 5th August (was told 3 weeksfrom order date ! ) The stove was covered in rust, looked like it had been picked out of a local skip. I've had no response to my phone calls and emails. Therefore , I'm currently reporting them for fraud via my bank . So very disappointing, I thought I was supporting a local business. I'm left with my original fire ripped out, filthy dirty trolley marks throughout my property and damage to my existing flue . Next call is to a solicitor.
