Although it was a sad occasion for the family. David and all at Pidgeons Team were very supportive and caring. Explaining all we needed to know, answered all my questions too. Great communication skills , very professional to a high standard. The cars were stunning and spotless clean. All staff were very patient and gave care and compassion at pick up points, the church & burial to family and friends.

David from Pidgeons recently led the arrangements for my father's funeral. All the way through he, and all of Pidgeons' staff, were a model of professionalism and compassion. I'm very glad to have chosen them to take responsibility for my dad's care and final journey. I thoroughly recommend J Pidgeon & Son Ltd for anyone dealing with a bereavement.

We used J Pidgeon & Sons for our Mums funeral last year and our Fathers funeral earlier this month and cannot praise them enough. From the minute we met John and David last year, we were left with no doubt whatsoever that they would perform their duties with the utmost professionalism and respect for our loved ones. Our Mums funeral was held in a place that was important to her and Pidgeons were happy to accommodate a different location to the norm and nothing was too much trouble. We even had the use of David to play some hymns which is something Mum would’ve loved. We had no hesitation in contacting Pidgeons earlier this year when our father passed away. We also found them very adaptable to our family dynamic, particularly Callum with our Father’s funeral and we would ‘happily’ use J Pidgeon & Sons in the future.

I was not happy with the service received by Pidgeons. They had promised a priest would visit the house before the funeral and he did not. They messed up the speech at my grandfathers funeral and got the information about him totally wrong so we had to sit in tears through a random story that was not about my grandfather as he had never served. They were rather nasty to my mother on the phone when she pointed out that they had still not buried my grandfather Patrick Grout's ashes 6 months later even though she had paid upfront an extra £200 or so.

Thank you to James Pidgeon & son, for their dignified service on behalf our late dad Kenneth Alfred James Cox. Thank you for all your care and compassion towards my dad, and looking after all the family on the day of the funeral. My dad had a wonderful send off he would have been so proud, you arranged black horses and a beautiful carriage for my dad everyone said what a beautiful service it was at the church and at Thornhill crematorium we thank you from the bottom of our hearts love the Cox family.

We Can’t thank all at pidgeons enough - it was friendly comfortable experience throughout - nothing was too much trouble for the whole team - Callum had arranged the day and was outstanding on behalf of our mum and family we can’t thank you all enough for looking after our dad and giving him the day he deserved xxxx best wishes Mal

John and the whole team at Pidgeon were professional from day one and carried out a great service. We would recommend them to anyone looking for a caring and very responsive team.
