Co-op Food @ LUU

Nice shop

This co-op consistently refused to fulfill deliveroo orders, this wouldn't normally seem like that big of a deal except that for students who are struggling financially LUU offers food vouchers which can only be spent here. I've had four orders refused in a row.To make matters worth they offer very little on deliveroo so if a struggling student somehow has their order fulfilled they'll have a nice dinner of pasta sauce, spam and bananna milk. its ridiculous and suspect a result of classism.I want to address the reply from the co-op by saying it's an outright lie. If you go there in person the shelves are generally well-stocked they just for some reason (classism) dont want to accept vouchers. This is likely why the menu on deliveroo only lists gross items you couldn't possibly make a meal out of.

Lovely co-op in the Leeds University Union building. Perfect to grab some essentials.

This place is a bit all over the place with opening times, and the ones on Google Maps aren’t always accurate. The veggie/vegan selection is poor. Has all your necessities for your average meat-eater and definitely useful to have in LUU. Well laid-out.

Went for a reduced beverage. “Inventory pcs did not read the date just the month”, clearly also staff didn’t double check. After consultations among staff I am allowed to take my item, whereby it was manually reduced at the counter by staff. The situation why I write this: staff uses the chip, but moves his head then I see “recording” message on screen - where I am recorded as if a) something wrong is happening & b) nobody ask for consent. Issue: no coherent database of inventory and no connection between barcode scanners, inventory and counter pcs & no communication of the situation to me & no warning for the recording.

£3.5 meal deal main+snack+drink for coop member card. Rich people can have premium meal deal (better food or bigger portion )A good option for poor student.
