So I was at a family meal, meeting my granddaughter after not seeing her for years, and this was meant to be a really good meal. So I wasn’t sure what I wanted, and this good chap recommend the smothered chicken, so I had that, although I highly regret it. If anything, I was the one being smothered, not the chicken, it was that bloody dry I couldn’t breathe. Spitting feathers I was, spitting feathers. My peas were small, even though I asked for extra large peas for my extra large trap. I asked for alphabet spaghetti and I got chips. CHIPS!! Honestly it’s an outrage. I wanted to spell the word smells, and I couldn’t, was really distraught. Will not be eating here for the rest of my short pathetic life.

To say it is a pub that serves food they may want to separate the rowdy football customers who are effing and Jeffing whilst your trying to eat. The food was good, however the service could of been better, friendly but so slow ordered Coke, latte, breakfast and Tuna melt, got the coke and had half eaten breakfast and Tuna melt before the latte even made an appearance, the were very applogetic though. It was the atmosphere thay was most off putting not somewhere you want to eat your lunch more somewhere to have a pint whilst watching footy!

Been several times now for Sunday lunch and today it was excellent as always. Lovely meats, well cooked veg and the cauliflower cheese is gorgeous. Great portion size, even for a greedy pig like me. Don't understand why it's not busier, never a problem getting a table and always friendly service.

Bad selection of larger, wait for food is an hour ( not because it’s busy) terrible in terms of quality once it did arrive. Disgusting toilets , Lord only know what the kitchen is like!?!? Skip this one !
