Oh dear, Although our room was clean, The Quay is looking even more scruffy - badly marked basin worktop, stained carpets and tacky decor. It really needs some investment to bring it up to scratch. Plus points are the ease of parking and the location- we can always book a sea view.

The hotel has faded. Looking like it was fine when new but sadly in lack in maintenance.. The location is terrific very close to the quay front with all the lively pubs and restaurants but far enough not to be bothered with the late night noise.. A little expensive for what it was.. But just about OK..

Lovely room and good size bathroom with hot shower. Very good breakfast English and continental or both plus lots of.

Great hotel but needs a good makeover. Staff and food was fantastic. Wonderful location. Lots of parking but it's £7 a night

Really lovely afternoon tea however I was not impressed that it took over 40 mins for my coffee, I had to ask twice for it. One person covering both afternoon tea and the bar on a Saturday afternoon wasn't great and we waited awhile to get our afternoon tea so based on the service, I wouldn't go again.

The hotel is very tired...needs a complete update. Bathroom ceiling wasn't good. Had a meal in the evening which even though was very nice...it wasn't completely what they said the dish was and very expensive for what it was. Wouldn't eat in the restaurant or pay these prices again for what you got.

Loved our stay here... Great location right on the Quay front so great for exploring this area of Poole.Large car park attached to the hotel so easy and discounted rates via reception for hotel guestsRooms are a good size, very comfy bed and pillowsOur bathroom had a bath which was very welcoming after we got soaked by the torrential rainThe upstairs has a lovely bar area which offers lovely views across the marina and out to seaWe've stayed here before and always enjoy it

We received a penalty notice having stopped momentarily in their car park which is run by a third party. We complained to the Hotel but was expecting a 'nothing to do with us response'. On the contrary - they looked sympathetically at the circumstances and arranged for the cancellation of the fee. Good people.

This hotel is in a beautiful location. I thought the room was very chilly but the food and service were good. And the views over the harbour are amazing

My sister's brought me here for my 50th birthday, we got dressed up and went for afternoon tea and I was very disappointed with the table, it was not dressed with a table cloth or even a table runner, the crockery was hotel white own, there was no thought in it at all and I would never recommend this to anyone wanting a fancy pants birthday, nothing fancy about this place. The only good thing about the afternoon was the view across the harbour, even on the rainy day we went the view was good as we watched a sail boat race. When we had finished we asked for the remaining cakes to be boxed, I was really surprised when they brought out 2 plastic Chinese boxes! For a better fancy pants afternoon tea I would recommend Chard garden centre, they really dress the table, use fancy crockery, wait on you for all your needs to make YOU feel special and they will bring a proper cardboard cake box for you to take any remaining cakes. I wish I had gone there now!
