I recently had a very disappointing experience at Sedgemoor Cookhouse. I was refused service for no reason, and I was left feeling humiliated and angry.I arrived at the restaurant on a Friday evening with my partner. We were seated at a table and given menus. We ordered our drinks and food, and then we waited.After about 15 minutes, a waitress came to our table and said that the chef had refused to cook our food. She didn't give us any reason for this, and she just shrugged when we asked her why.We were shocked and confused. We had done nothing to offend the chef or the staff, and we couldn't understand why they were refusing to serve us.We asked to speak to the manager, but he was nowhere to be found. The waitress said that she would try to find him, but she never came back.We waited for another 10 minutes, but the manager still didn't appear. We were so disgusted by the way we had been treated that we decided to leave.As we were walking out of the restaurant, we saw the chef standing in the kitchen. He was laughing and joking with the other staff members. It was clear that he didn't care that he had ruined our evening.I am extremely disappointed with the way I was treated at Sedgemoor Cookhouse. I would never recommend this restaurant to anyone. If you are looking for a place to eat where you will be treated with respect, then you should avoid Sedgemoor Cookhouse at all costs.

For your typical chain restaurant, the experience is enhanced by the eye of detail in the food and service.Hot food, clean venue, friendly staff.Charlotte was a very lovely human being who you can tell cares very much about her staff team and the quality of service they deliver.Thank you for a very nice experience.

Was there for a meal for 10 people. Food was excellent, staff were brilliant. All food came out together, drinks were brought to the table too.We were all very impressed.

I recently ate at the pub with my family, excellent service and the food was perfect.I had the fish and chips and finished off with a triple chocolate brownie.I recommended this family friendly restaurant and will definitely be returning.

Front of house service friendly and efficient but refused a breakfast order before 10.30 and seemed in a huge hurry to clear away breakfast products. It made me feel as if I was being rushed.The breakfast had obviously been prepared perfectly. However, despite being under heat lamps, it was only luke warm which was disappointing.The venue was clean and comfortable.

Me and my boyfriend went the Sunday carvery - traveled an hour just for it as it’s the best around!!Served by Paul who was 5*, friendly and bubbly man who made us feel welcome.The man serving the carvey is a smiley face and always gives generous portions.Thanks guys :)

OK but not great atmosphere. You feel tension of staff making mistakes with orders. Mine was correct so no complaints from me. Feels tense.

Very good indeed. First time ever in the area, and we found this little gem. Very quickly seated, We started with a nice glass of fresh orange juice and then fed with a good breakfast and a nice cappuccino.In and out in 45 minutes paid less than £20.The chap in charge was very helpful and efficient, too.
