I rang the surgery on Thursday on behalf of my 15 year old daughter who was becoming unwell with what looked like suspected tonsillitis and I wanted the doctors advice as not sure if antibiotics were needed. I was told by the receptionist to call NHS 111 and I argued that I thought the GP could diagnose over the phone. The receptionist then suggested I fill in the eform online which I did but was unable to proceed as the patient needs to be over 16 to use so I called back to ask how I should proceed. The receptionist said I must fill in the form as if filling it out for myself which I thought ridiculous as I wasn’t the patient and my daughter would be misdiagnosed but did as advised.We didn’t hear back from the surgery and unfortunately needed to visit the out of hours doctor at the hospital as my daughter became more unwell where they prescribed antibiotics for suspected tonsillitis.I have however today (Monday) received an email in response to filling out the eform ‘as if for myself’ with advice on how to manage ‘my tonsillitis’.The advice from the receptionist has wasted hospital time, GP time and my own time and could, given the circumstances be incredibly dangerous.

I've found them to be wonderful since moving from a rubbish GP when living in Westbourne.There's been instances where they've had sickness and no appointments available but that can't be helped. I can usually get an appointment within the week for non urgent things.

Ringing the surgery, very unhelpful receptionist, asked her a question to which she replied 'I don't know!' not 'I'll find out for you'. Went down to the surgery and complained to which the reply was'we are training new staff'! Asked for a telephone call from a doctor and was told the next available appointment is 3 weeks time!' Was told to use Econsult which I did. Received an acknowledgement

Super organisation. Went to get the vaccine and was out in less than 5 minutes. Nice staff too
