East Mersea Hall

We initially contacted East Mersea Hall in 2020 after seeing them recommended on a local Facebook page. We were concerned about trying to arrange our wedding during lockdown but Kirsty and her team were there every step of the way and were great at keeping in regular contact throughout the whole process. We were very impressed with the team's efficiency, professionalism, and passion while helping us figure out how to make our day go as smoothly as possible.The pricing, facilities available, options and variety, and flexibility of packages were fantastic and we really enjoyed tailoring our specific package to make the day suit us. The team were on the other end of an email to answer any questions we had and explain anything that was unclear in the lead up and we really appreciated this.We got married on 20th April 2023 and the team were on site the whole day to take the stress off us and to help the day run as planned. Anneka and Jill were there at every step of the day and their efficiency and organisation meant that we didn't have to worry about a thing all day. They went above and beyond for us, even going as far as to video call my husband's grandparents who weren't well enough to attend in person so they could still see us get married. This was such a lovely gesture and meant so much to us both. We cannot thank the whole team enough for everything they did for us to make our day perfect.

As cliche as it sounds, we knew as soon as we walked into East Mersea Hall that it was the venue for us. The secluded location and diversity of options at the venue make it truly unique. From the intimate ceremony hall, outer grounds + lake, outdoor ceremony alcove, woodland area and pavilion.Anneka and Gill were friendly, approachable, responsive, knowledgeable & helped make the whole process enjoyable and stress free. Gill was a star on the day and ensured everything ran smoothly, including sorting a few minor hiccups!All of the staff including the waiting team and chefs were incredible and accommodating.Kate and I have said that with all the money in the world and no location restrictions we would still have selected East Mersea Hall as our wedding venue and would thoroughly recommend the venue and amazing team to anyone.

We got married a week ago. All I can say is WOW, this place is absolutely stunning with the grounds and the pavilion. We go married inside as it was very chilly but even that was so lovely and intimate. The team are absolutely amazing especially Anneka who organised our wedding. It went so smoothly and was absolutely perfect from start to finish. I couldn’t recommend East Mersea Hall more for a wedding venue.

East Mersea Hall was the most fantastic venue we ever could have hoped for for our wedding! We knew right from the moment that we came through the gates that this was the perfect place for us, and we were in no way disappointed. The venue is GORGEOUS and there are so many options to help you build the perfect day for you. All of the staff were so so kind and helpful and looked after us, right from our first walk around with Kirsty through to Gill being a perfect co-ordinator on the day. It was so important to us to feel like we got on well with the people in charge of our big day, and the whole team were just so warm and made us feel so special. Gill made sure everything ran without a hitch- we even found out a few days after the wedding that some of our guests had had some issues which she'd completely resolved behind the scenes without us ever finding out! Everyone was so patient with my million emails and went above and beyond to make sure it was the perfect day, from recommending and facilitating a photoshoot on the nearby beach, to putting on a fantastic and delicious BBQ, to remembering that I didn't want to be called Mrs and even working in secret with my husband to coordinate a big surprise for me on the day! We can never thank the team enough, and would recommend this beautiful venue to absolutely anyone.

East Mersea Hall has everything.. the characterful ceremony room, the patio, the beautiful grounds including the lake the woodland and the secret garden, the stunning reception pavilion, the bridal suite, the beach and church next door.. and THE most amazing staff. Anneka and her team should be so proud of the perfection they brought to our special day, from the organisation and support to the delivery, they are friendly and professional they have it all. If you’re thinking about trusting them to host your wedding then look no further :-) love from Mr and Mrs Smith! X

We had our blessing ceremony here at East Mersea Hall after we eloped and wanted our family to also experience us sharing our love and commitment to eachother. A special shoutout to Anneka who was amazing the whole planning process and was always on hand to help us with anything we needed and made sure everything ran smoothly and kept our surprises a secret from all the guests! I don’t even know where to startEveryone at East Mersea Hall are absolute angels especially Gill !We first viewed East mersea in January 2022 due to an issue with our original wedding Venue, they were so welcoming and just amazing from start to finish. As soon as we stepped into East mersea Hall we knew it was the place for us to have our special day so we booked the same day!Sadly my brother unexpectedly passed away 4 months before the wedding , I contacted EMH straight away and was told not to worry and they would support me in every way possible and this is exactly what they did!They let me take time and postponed the wedding to a new date of my choice, I completely changed my wedding and it was so personal to what we wanted.Gill was just amazing from the moment we met her and was an absolute star !I honestly can’t thank Gill enough she’s so kind , generous and gave me everything I wanted on the day.Highly recommend getting married at East Mersea Hall.We will back for our 5 year wedding anniversary party !Mr & Mrs Curtis Xx

Well it's been just over a month now since our all day evening wedding event at East Mersea Hall..what a spectacular perfect day with no drama just happy smiling guests all day long and into the evening. All the feedback was so positive. A massive thank you to Kirsty Gill your planning an execution for and on the day was faultless. What a fabulous venue with options for rain which we did not need but back up was there.The whole day, with food catered for every type coupled with an open bar and active support on status ment the whole day evening went smoothly with every guest catered for with.The wedding night accommodation was lovely ..shower was so refreshingParking was ample for our guests with local accomodation available too.Mersea is a great location would recommend just note the tide lol as it can get cut off at times
