My experience of property solicitors had been, until now, a negative one. When Thirsk Winton provided us with an initial quote that was considerably cheaper than three other quotes we sourced, I was concerned that I was choosing price over quality. This couldn’t have been further from the truth. Thirsk Winton (Daniel Barrett) were always highly responsive, represented our personal situation + interests impeccably and made the purchase a smooth and more punctual one (than other solicitors I experienced that had held processes up).I couldn’t fault any of their service and would highly recommend them to anybody looking to purchase a property.

We used this firm more than four times and our experience in dealing with them is absolutely wonderful. I would like to say thanks to Christabel and Jason. We are now back again although we do the latest situation with this firm since the Covid-19 started in 2020. Good luck for everyong.

Please avoid. The company has a racist solictor by the name of Matthew Barrett. He chose to not pursue my case and was dragging my case for too long.When I finally managed to speak to him he became rude. The tone of his voice was harsh. He is not the person any individual should be dealing with.When he realised his errors and the conversation became heated he wrote an email blaming the client.He thinks too highly of himself. Client needs are secondary to him.

I engaged Thirsk Winton's services to handle an eviction and subsequent challenge to a CCJ. While the outcome of both cases was in our favour, I cannot wholeheartedly endorse the firm due to the perceived extent of the fees, as noted by the presiding judge. Moreover, I encountered challenges with communication, as the assigned partner was unresponsive to phone calls and appeared lacking in providing adequate counsel, attempting to upsell additional services.

Christabel handled our conveyancing which, during a pandemic, was a very polished service. She was extremely responsive, professional and knocked socks off the other parties' solicitors we had to deal with. I also found Thirsk Winton to be good value for money compared to other solicitors in the area. Would definitely use again.

I had recently instructed Gemma Leppard to help with an issue regarding a BTL. I was pleased with the professional manner in which my case was handled. She kept me updated throughout the process and dealt with any issues promptly. I am very grateful she concluded the matter successfully in a few weeks.
