PLEASE NOTE THAT THIS IS NOT THE SAME AS TRIDENT STUDIOS. You will not find the David Bowie Blue Plaque here, nor will you find the site where songs like Hey Jude, Your Song, Space Oddity, Seven Seas of Rhye, etc. were recorded. If you are coming here in hopes of seeing the famous Trident Studios, you will be disappointed. The actual site is 17 St Anne’s Court, which is nearby. This is an active recording studio under a similar name.

Historical rock and roll landmark. Take the London rock and roll tour and this one place is on the tour. A block away on Duck St is where the Stones originally met for the first time.

Behind this nondescript frontage between 1968-1981 much of the truly defining music of the 'era' was recorded. A critical and crucial site in the annals of British rock music and all aficionados would surely confer.A 'blue plaque' honouring David Bowie acknowledges the site and its significance in that ‘bygone era.’Currently still a functioning recording studio.

While slightly renamed to ‘Trident Audio Post’, those well read in the musical fabric of yore, will recognize Trident as THE musical hot spot during the zeitgeist of classic rock and roll in the 1960’s and beyond. These doors have served the likes of David Bowie, Queen, Elton John, Carley Simon, The Rolling Stones, Peter Gabriel, T-Rex, James Taylor and a laundry list and then some who’s who of stellar musicians in the golden age of rock.Fascinatingly, none other than The Beatles tracked “Hey Jude” here, alongside some of “The White Album”.While currently it serves as a recording studio for voiceovers, audio mixing, sound design and ADR work, the newer management and ownership has continued to honor this landmark’s rich heritage. The London Rock and Roll tour will take a stop here, should you get on the magical mystery boss for top notch sightseeing!Highly recommended as a first rate audio spot and as a pilgrimage of sorts to snap an outside picture of the studio that brought us some of the greatest records ever made. Please be mindful and observant of the studio’s privacy. However, just standing near a bastion of musical history is rewarding enough!A must, especially for Bowie and Beatle’s fans!
