Gateshead International Stadium
I had a decent day watching Newcastle United take on Gateshead FC in their first preseason friendly. The weather was appalling with Thunder and heavy downpours, the home fans stayed dry but that is all part of the game. The staff were great and friendly with questions and directions and it looks like away fans will soon have cover as well on what I think is the East stand.

Went for a retro games market which was very good. All great except some signage for the toilets would have helped from randomly wondering about the corridors to find one. Could of also done with at least some sort of tea/coffee or refreshments stall when they have events on

Amazing venue for events we were there for a car show (kulturshock) loads of space in the stadium easy to get to and plenty free parking around! Only downside are the toilets, there was only 3 stalls, 1 did not lock and the others didn't have toilet roll! Other than that it's great x

Lovely environment. Can eat inside of the stadium or u can eat out. The track is large and you are able to sit in the stands if u are watching a game of anything. A perfect stadium.

Exposed.Its a athletic track after all.Could do with a proper indoor bar at the away side.Girls in the away kiosk worked wonders with the hot drinks.Easy to get to via metro from Haymarket .Shrimpers furthest away trip.Good effort Heed army.

Friendly staff, great atmosphere at the Gateshead v Newcastle friendly.Glad I was in the home supporters stand, the other 3 stands got drenched!

Enjoyed visiting this place. Nice stadium. Very clean. Plenty of seating available. Seats are a bit far from the pitch so slightly hard to get view of what's happening on the other side/end.Staff are very friendly. Parking is decent but not the largest. They also have indoor gym facilities.Overall, nice experience.

Went for a pre season friendly with Newcastle united as it's mainly used for athletics three of the stands have no roof on so if it's forcast rain then I would recommend taking a umbrella as u will get wet
