Nordic Garden Buildings

We ordered a garden room last October to sit on our patio. In February it was eventually installed and we’re delighted with the result.Prior to this, it was not smooth going. Nordic came in January to install the building and told us our patio base was not ‘centimetre level’ and the installation couldn’t proceed, leaving all the building sections in our garden.Nordic presented us with an excessive £750 ‘penalty’ for that error of judgement, and we had to employ an independent builder to produce a satisfactory base.We are not blameless, as we wrongly thought our patio was sufficiently level. We feel the company should employ surveyors to avoid this eventuality.Nordic are not open to compromise and we had no option but to pay or they wouldn’t have constructed our building.We’d like to warn other potential customers of this ‘con’ which borders on dishonesty.On this basis we would not recommend this company as there are many others on the market.When asking for a compromise on the £750, we were emailed as follows:Quoted by director Justin Williams, “it’s like spilling a pint of beer over yourself and blaming the pub landlord and asking for a refund”....Professional?

We are very happy with the building and installation. Very professional and polite installers and an excellent job. a credit to Nordic.

Such a promising start...very interested in securing a deposit and 'reminding' us of the upcoming fitting date and monies payable.When the fitting didn't pan out (due to faulty parts), things ground to a halt. The fitters were fantastic but the customer service was terrible. Sending me an email saying we were responsible for the failed fit and asking for hundreds of pounds, isn't an excusable error.Great product, awful aftercare! And please don't keep calling me mate...I am a customer!

We had booked our Nordic Aspen Garden Room in April 2022.On 15th July the Installation Team arrived amid torrential rain.They informed us the base had a ripple in the Self Levelling Cement making it not level and they couldn’t install the building.We had our builder on site and he offered to grind down/sand/buff down the said ripple but the Installation Team said they couldn’t wait the proposed 30 mins since they had a tight schedule.Having left, taking all the Garden Room Parts with them, our builder corrected things in 20 minutes!I have no doubt you will be thinking it was our fault and the £750 we subsequently had to pay was part of the agreement we had signed.I now wish to draw your attention to the saga which has since ensued!On 10th August the Team arrived and set forth to install the Garden Room.They worked all day but however they informed us that not all of the parts had been delivered and they would have to get them ordered to complete the job.Despite the Slates not being fitted on top, they made the structure as water tight as they could and left after a long day.We move now to 15th August and the third visit from the Team.They arrived in the afternoon and started to fit the missing parts so we now had slates on the roof and internal finishes completed.However, there was still a panel at the back which was missing and we also required a new beading on one of the windows which had been chipped.With no communication, I eventually contacted Mr Courtney Price and sent him pictures of the parts still required as he had not been passed any information from the Installation Team and he subsequently ordered these.After some e-mail communication I did receive half the re-installation fee as compensation for the disruption caused.A Fourth visit was organised but was not kept by the Installation Team and I had a wasted day as there was no communication.On contacting Mr Price he subsequently phoned back and informed me that the parts had not been loaded onto the van and a further visit would be required.A further date was agreed and we finally had completion on the 4th October 2022 some 12 weeks from the original Installation Date.Mr Price was our contact with Nordic Installations and did his best to help us finally get completion of the Garden Room.Overall not the outcome we had anticipated when ordering back in April!

So pleased with our madison corner house. Ex-demo but cleaned up great and given us back our sanctuary after new-builds close behind spoilt our time in the garden. Great fitting team and after care service. Thoroughly recommend company. Like a conservatory in the garden.

From ordering to installation communication was absolutely first class Nordic going out of their way to ensure the product we ordered was exactly right for us. On the day of installation the guys arrived bang on time, were extremely friendly and made sure everything was perfect a real credit to their company. The summer house is very high quality and has received compliments from both friends and family. One of the best decisions my wife and I have made. Thank you.

Lovely product but aftersales service atrocious , guttering was never fitted properly so water hangs in the back instead of draining away , every time it rains it floods over the sides , have tried contacting to have this put right but are told this is normal . for a garden building of this price it most definitley is not normal . our conservatory and house do not hold water in the guttering like this . give the company a miss

I have at long last got my garden building and I’m pleased with it. However, like another reviewer I had a lot of stress getting it built as on two occasions the base was not up to the very precise standard required.Why can’t this company charge an extra amount for a survey prior to fitting the buildings.?To have had to pay £750 twice seemed really harsh!I would have been happy to initially pay extra for a survey to ensure the base was right.So be warned if you buy a building from this company, you may get a larger bill than expected if things aren’t right with the base.

Nordic sales, design and fitting team were excellent. We changed design of standard Nordic Madison garden room to better show our garden, 3 sides glass and 1 white UPVC with hopper windows. The design team sent a 3D image of what this would look like before our order was finalised and to ensure we would be happy. The installation team had to change install date 3 times due to Covid issues but always kept us informed, excellent communications. Our installers arrived during a snow storm but managed to complete installation in 1 day and without any mess to my garden. They were polite, friendly and very quiet.From start to finish this has been a excellent company to deal with. Would recommend them to anyone thinking of installing summer house or garden room.
