YONG GI DO MARTIAL ARTS

My children and I have been attending this club for 5 years. It has been amazing to see how much they love attending classes and watching their confidence grow. The club is a family, there is always someone who is more than happy to help and support you without any judgement (even when you are a grown up!)

YONG GI DO, is a fantastic organised Martial Arts Club, well run by Kate and Reah.I have been wanting to get back to fitness following knee surgery after injury.Having competed in Judo, Kick Boxing and Shotokan Karate when I was young, I wasn't sure if I would find a club that would be so accommodating at my older age and was keen to get back into it.Having spoken to Kate, she was great, so welcoming that I came along for a trial and now I can't wait to attend each session twice a week!As well as increasing my fitness, I am having fun and have met a lovely group of new people.I can't recommend YONG GI DO highly enough.I am now looking to get my 12 year old daughter to join.Thanks Kate & Reah!

I can’t rate this club enough . I have 3 children 1 with SEN and another with serve health issues . We originally joined due to low confidence with 2 children . I watched them grow and change into the most confident girls . Then my SEN daughter joined and if I couldn’t have thought a club was any better I was soon proven wrong . The care and love along with acceptance that was given to my daughter was unreal . She finally feels like she belongs somewhere which in turn has helped her in so many ways socially and mentally . My husband has also joined so it’s become a family affair. The club isn’t just a club it really is a family and everyone looks after and out for another . I honestly can’t put into words how great this club and family is

My daughter has been coming for nearly 2 years and she absolutely loves it. It has made such a difference to her confidence and I can’t thank the senior members of Yong Gi Do enough. Fantastic club and my son will be soon joining

I joined this club when I was 7 and since then my confidence has grown massively; I have had many opportunities to gain many life skills like confidence and communication. Thanks to this club I am now able to defend myself should I need to in the future. I started karate because I was being bullied and since then it has not only been a distraction but a family in which I am so thankful to be a part of. Master Kate Malyon has helped so manage people like me to achieve amazing things like a black belt and have the confidence to take part in many competition opportunities from such a young age.

I can't recommend this highly enough. My daughter has been attending for getting on for a year, and thoroughly enjoys the sessions. The people who operate this are passionate and very very nice. For us it's less about the actual training (which is very important) but more about the positive messages that the young people come out with. Fantastic provision and brilliant value.

I honestly can't rate this club enough....my son started at the beginning of July.I wanted to find something that would help with his confidence and anxiety levels. I never thought I would see a difference I was wrong. in a matter of weeks I saw a little lad who's has come out of his shell his confidence has grown massively within group and outsidemy son has adhd/asd for years he has never left my side never wanted to go out anywhere attend birthday party's unless I was by his side I was proven wrong today he has attended the summer fun day with the group all by himselfMy son said now he feels like part of a teamHonestly guys I can't thank you all enough each and everyone of you are amazing ❤️

My daughter joined here recently and I can’t even put into words how welcoming and fantastic the club have been. My eldest has really come of her shell. So much confidence in such a short space of time; her whole outlook has changed. Truly can say in all the 13 years I’ve been a Mum, I’ve not come across a club as friendly. Both my Children have attended Yong Gi Do for many years . The club has helped them in so many ways to build confidence, make friends , build strength, resilience, and to move through the grades and achieve their belts . The club is a Martial Art Family full of encouragement and support to achieve their goals .Could not recommend enough .
