Kwik Fit - Belfast - Yorkgate

I had the most positive experience today! I needed air in my tyres but the dust caps were stuck. The lovely guy at the till came out and managed to get them off with pliers. Explained why and what we needed to do thoroughly. I needed a valve replaced which he done there and then, filled all tyres and replaced the dust caps. He couldn't have been more helpful or efficient! Gentleman!!

Needed a puncture fixed. Urgently. Alas Kwik fit York gate totally useless. Couldn’t take me. At 17,50 a tyre. I would have happily paid. I will never ever use or recommend them. Thanks for nothing less than quick.

Excellent booking in by branch manager, day of arrival very polite, rang with update, quick departure upon collection, job card emailed. Very gracious for the business. A gentleman.

I booked online, decent price for Good Year all-season tires (I scored an excellent deal, otherwise a bit overpriced) but I wanted to get a refund for tire disposal as I kept my summer tires. I had to call the customer line after I got home to request a refund, which took 15 minutes, but was handled professionally and promptly. It would be great if I could do it with either the garage directly or have an opt out option when booking online. Service was great, they’ve checked wheel alignment for free and notified me that it was good. I got a warning in my car the next day to check the wheels so popped in to see them again the next day, they checked again and sorted me out which is reassuring. Tires are fantastic, in wet and cold came to a full stop in seconds at a 70mph speed. I would have liked to be communicated with more effectively as someone who doesn’t know much about cars but I guess short conversations are standard when dealing with many customers at once. All in all, satisfied customer and would use again.

Highly Recommend - Great Customer Service. I left my car in after the driver side wheel was making a screeching noise, not only they fixed the issue on the day, they also kept my car safe inside overnight as I wasn't able to pick it up. On top of all this they didn't charge me for any of this. I have used them before for servicing my car and I wouldn't take it anywhere else for going forward. Many thanks - TH.

30 yrs driving and first time using quick fit & was quoted £160 for software reset for pressure settings which was switched to manual someway & £60 odd wheel alignment which BMW checked 3 days previous as was ok .When I ask the chap at reception what update involved I was quoted I don’t know I don’t do it !Car booked into bmw to reset the software FOC .Also 1.5 hours to fit 4 tyres .Car should have come out ready or atleast advised at time of booking this may be required ! Won’t return !

I arrived at the branch with a tyre that I had previously pumped up with air that morning because the tyre warning light had come on. Now only a couple of hrs later the warning light was on again and I was afraid to drive any further incase I damaged the wheel itself so I googled the nearest tyre centre which just happened to be kwik fit (had travelled from Broughshane that morning) - the team were very busy but were extremely helpful and went over and above to squeeze me in between other jobs. I was so very grateful and was able to drive away safely within half an hour! Super sevice and down to earth friendly too.

Excellent service. Friendly knowledgeable staff with positive attitude. I was a drop in but they were able to start the work immediately . Work completed on time. Air conditioning now tip top. Very pleased especially after unsuccessful visits to another big brand couldn't solve the problem.

Absolute ripoff, took my car in for wheel alignment. Get a call telling me that I needed all 4 discs and pads replaced @ £600+ so I decided to take it to one of my local garages, quoted me £305 for all 4 discs and pads, they called me letting me know that only 2 discs and pads needed replacing, plus one tyre £250 total. Save yourself the headache and expense and always get a second opinion from a smaller local garage.

Unfortunately, one star is the lowest rating I can give this review. A few months ago, we were told by an independent mechanic that we had a hole in our exhaust but he couldn’t fix it at the time because he didn’t have a welder. After being away for a few weeks, we then just decided to go to Kwik Fit rather than finding somewhere to book. This was a simple job, that would have taken an hour and for somewhere in the region of £40. Two of my friends who are mechanics confirmed the same thing. My girlfriend took the car to Kwik Fit at Yorkgate last week at which point they told her that entire back box was coming away, everything was corroded (car is only over five years old) and that it would be £220 to fix and that an entire new system with new parts would need to be fitted. The biggest rip off merchants going. My girlfriend got the car fixed this week at Dees Exhausts for £40.
