Such a beautiful meal last night at The Sun Inn. The whole experience was great, the staff were lovely (very dog friendly), food was beautiful and the vibe is relaxed and welcoming! Definitely a new favourite as it’s only 10 minutes from the M6 motorway !

Very pleased, small area beside hotel to drop off luggage and get parking permit for local car parks (5 mins away). Great room at front of hotel (no 3) Wi-Fi code given for each room, not seen that before. Breakfast service at table - faster than self service! Staff very nice asking if we need anything extra. Dinner last night was superb .

Love The Sun Inn. Visted and stayed there many times now and never disappoints. Friendly, helpful staff, food excellent and the rooms are fab. We love it. Kirkby Lonsdale itself is a beautiful place with plenty of walks and ideally located for a visit to the lakes or places in Yorkshire. 10/10 x

Quaint old inn with nice bar, restaurant and rooms.Staff were very friendly.Our room was a little small for the price, but it was last minute and the only one available. It was clean, tidy and comfortable.Nearby parking is free if you stay at the hotel, and there's plenty of options for lunch, dinner, pubs very close by if you don't dine at the hotel.

An absolute gem of a pub with wonderful food, a fine selection of beers and wonderful service. Immaculately clean. The fish and chips are first rate. The tomato soup is worth coming back for on a winter's day. Bonus for dog owners: there's a nice dog-washing station on the St Mary's Church side if your pup's been swimming in the Lune and needs a rinse. Needless to say, very dog friendly, too. A perfect place to grab lunch after seeing Devil's Bridge and the Radical Steps.

The best pub/hotel we've ever stayed in. Attention to detail was above and beyond regarding quality, furnishings, fixtures and fittings, and even having a Welly rack to loan wellies for puddle jumping whilst exploring the area in inclement weather.Jenny was very welcoming, and the young gentleman checking us in (sorry, forgot your name) was efficient and polite.The bed and pillows were soft and comfortable, and I defy anyone not to have a great night's sleep.We stayed in room one, a small double, which was perfect for us, and the bathroom was spacious and actually had a bath.Breakfast was hot and tasty, and we were served promptly even though it was busy.To sum up, if you go there and even if you're not staying there you will enjoy luxury service in quality surroundings, go on have a drink in the pub its so comfortable and warm.Perfect.
