An excellent Middle Eastern restaurant. The lamb specials were delicious and the burgers are tasty and particular. Best place of this kind I have been at in Glasgow so far. Highly recommended!

My first visit to Usta was met with anticipation, particularly drawn to their Mediterranean twist on the shish burgers. Eager to delve into something unique, I opted for the pulp fiction burger, enticed by the blend of pastrami and Mexican cheese – a combination that promised an adventurous culinary experience.Upon arrival, the burger looked as appealing as the description, large and substantial in size, with melted cheese invitingly draped over a succulent, juicy patty. However, as I delved into my meal, I discovered that the pastrami was missing from the equation. While I can acknowledge that I didn't mention it until the end, the absence was disappointing, as it was a key factor in my choice.Flavor-wise, the burger was somewhat lacking. The richness I had anticipated from the pastrami and cheese was undermined by a lack of sauce or condiments. What could have been a robust burst of flavor instead felt a little two-dimensional. To add to the downsides, the base of the bun became soggy due to the grilled tomato, further diminishing the overall experience.A noteworthy point was the mention of the salad that accompanies the burger. What arrived was more akin to a side garnishing of rocket. That said, there were still positives to be found in the meal. The patty itself was well-cooked and the cheese was done to perfection, making for pleasant bites here and there. In conclusion, while Usta's pulp fiction burger had its moments, it didn't fully live up to the expectations I had. The potential for greatness is there, and I may return in the future to give them another chance. However, I do hope that attention to detail and balance in flavours will be more of a focus next time.

Very impressed with the food! We tried a lamb fillet and a chicken fillet, both meats were succulent, perfectly marinated and delicious. The presentation of the food was excellent. The dishes can seem a bit pricey but the portions are generous, most mains including sides like chips, vegetables and flatbread plus dips. Also enjoyed the atmosphere with nice decor and fun/upbeat background music. They don't have an alcohol license yet but hopefully will be sorted soon. We'll be coming back!

Yes, service is slow, but the staff is very friendly and food was amazingly delicious!Certainly worth the wait. We would definitely go back. The lamb shank is superb with delicious side veges. The monster short rib also excellent with tender delicious meat and an extra special tasty sauce. The hummustu (chicken uniquely and perfectly seasoned and on top of hummus). Check this place out when you are willing to spend time enjoying the company you're with...it's worth it!

Really wanted this place to be good, however we were pretty disappointed with the lamb fillet which was overcooked, next to nothing seasoning and served lukewarm. The chicken koobideh had slightly more seasoning but was also served cold. If anything I'd say the prawns were nice, but didn't like the fact that the bread was hidden underneath and soaked in the prawn mixture, maybe just down to preference. I hope things do improve over time.

Best burger I have ever had. Everything was on point atmosphere service food. Couldn't recommend this place enough.I had the pulp fiction burger in a brioche bun rather than the black bun. Burger is very big couldn't finish it. Prawn starter was unbelievable. You definitely need to come here.
