Swinney Skip Hire

Good service but horrendous driver. Very angry with my stafffor reasons we do not understand. Dropped oil over the forecourtfrom leaking tank on the truck.Swore a lot and complained about the collection.We had used them in the past but never again, I telephone to report the driver. Never had a return call. The lady I spoke to knew the driver and confirmed he was that nature.

Rude and inconsiderate driver!!!To swear and think I cannot lip read there is your first error!I have my reasons that I should not have to explain as to why during this pandemic I have been told by medical people to STAY INDOORS.This is for 13weeks and could be as long as 12months.The driver told the occupier of the property he was delivering the skip to that I would need to move my vehicle. That neighbour then knocked and I explained the reasons why I would not be able to do that.A vehicle had already moved in the street for the driver, therefore he had ample room.Another neighbour heard this going on and said he would move my car back a little for me, so I passed my car keys out of window to him.To have expletives mouthed at me by the driver was totally out of order.He does not know my circumstances.Firstly I would suggest an advanced driving course if having to manoeuvre in the space he had was causing such an issue to him and secondly to work on his people skills, or lack of !!!This is surely NOT the image Swinney Skip Hire want to portray!

Whilst taking the skip away they damaged our driveway by not putting chocks down..they have not apologised stating that any damage is our responsibility..but it had happened due to their incompetence..now we are left with 2 large depressions with cracked block paving that we now have to find the money and time to sort..we have had lots of skips from other companies over the years and had no problems..I have read other reviews on this site which have had the same problem so it must be a recurring theme for them..please do not use this company.unless you want a damaged drive way..disgusting service.

Fast and reliable service.

Skip removed when not full. Make sure you give a collection date or they will state you only requested 1 week. Removed skip when not even half full. They stated I requested a week which is a total lie. I had work booked in for 2 weeks and If they had asked me for a collection date I would have stated 2 weeks. Wouldn't supply a smaller skip. Won't use or recommend again.

Used Swinney three times and always found them be a professional outfit.

Very reliable and competitive prices with helpful drivers. Great all round service.

Do not go with this company.This company has damaged our paved drive by not putting a chock" down when lifting the skip off our driveway. We have been left with a hole just where our car tyres would sit therefore putting our drive out of commission until we pay to get it fixed.We received no courtesy call to let us know what they had done so it was a nice surprise to come home to after a day at work.We signed a contract which in the small print mentions that we are liable for any damage and that apparently also means we are liable for their misuse of equipment.Do not use this company if you would like your property to be respected... Or pay extra to have the skip on the road as it's their fault (not yours) if they damage the council's property... Funny how the attitude is different when it's that way around."

The guy who picked up the skip was very nice and polite and helpful, would definitely use them again!
