I rung chimney chaps to see if someone could come and take a look at what work needed to be done to prepare our chimneh/fireplace for an electric fire. I was told to send me name and address to them and they would arrange with me a time and date. I did this and didn't hear back for a few days. I sent a second message after 3 days and have still not heard back. Started promising but poor communication.

Outstanding service from Brett and the team. They removed an old stove and installed a new one (sourced by me) plus lined and capped the chimney. The quote arrived within half an hour of my request and the work completed 3 days later. Brett couldn’t have been more helpful, friendly and communicative, solving problems that weren’t his to take on. The stove supplier really mucked me about - Brett helped me rectify the situation, even though it wasn’t of his making. His installation team was friendly, professional, fast, efficient and REALLY clean. Barely any mess at all. A fault with the previous installation meant this one wasn’t quite right. They didn’t realise until the end, but went back a few steps and rectified it, even though it wasn’t their problem to fix, because they wouldn’t want it like that in their house. Absolutely brilliant service and real pride in their work. Thank you so much.

Brilliant

First use of Chimney chaps was good (although it was an old carpet).Second use was bad. He left sooty patches on my new carpet. He offered to hoover it up and give a refund but has since completely ignored me.

DO NOT USE…After saying it would be 4 weeks before they could sweep our chimney which was ok failed to book a date in for us, did not respond to text or calls said would get in touch with us but never did. Extremely poor service and customer relations would not recommend.

Excellent service all round, gave me a very fair quote for the work to be completed with no hidden costs. Arrived when they said they would and got stuck in right away. Couldn't be happier and would recommend to anyone. Top service all round.
