Amazing service from Dave & Mike today @ Barnwood Timpsons. Thanks for sorting the engraving for me after my own machine broke, so promptly and beautifully too. 5 stars.

Prices are ridiculously high. Watch repairs and battery replacement. Cwotb he's are not repaired at the shops. Min £25 for watch repair. Battery cost min £19.99

Just collected a hip flask that had been engraved.Was not impressed by a large scratch next to the engraving which was blamed on the “soft pewter” of the flask.If you can’t do it properly or you make a mistake, just say and do not blame the tools you’re working with.Really disappointed in the attitude. I would not bother to come here for an engraving unless it Ian the important what the end product looks like.

Awful service, lost an item, attempted to charge me twice not believing I had paid him 10 seconds prior and then is confrontational accusing me of calling him a t**t. Sort it out.

Whoever's shift was today (18.05.22) in Timpson in Sainsbury's Barnwood, that lad was exceptional! Quick, professional, helpful.

Updated. TIMPSON'S have been in business since 1865. 157 YEARS at time of writing.ISSUE1. a )Did not glue loafer properly. Missed a bit. b) My fault for not saying. Paid again. c) Came undone again. 2. kept me waiting for 6 weeks and charged double what professional cobbler charged who got special rubber in to fix them at half their quoted price in less than a week. Made a mistake thinking the staff" here and send of repair factory was the same quality as proper cobbler who aims to PLEASE you as its his small business and takes pride in his work with a personal service who really knows what he is doing and spoke at length about shoe brands from Loake's to Grenson and polishing cloths and show renovation. There is NO COMPARISON whatever in quality of service or manners and the cobbler was cheaper and had time for a chat. Never EVER going to Timpson's again. What is more the local cobbler was cheaper by far on the big show repair job for the full sole. And did an absolutely amazing job. Very disappointed. I do not go to the cobblers that often. But I am never ever going here again. Two staff were rude. One was bolshy and the other just a little bit rude. No need for it. I now have a smile from my new cobbler who is always pleased to see me. I rarely leave bad reviews by they way... Some people's bad reviews is more about them. This is genuinely about the service and the lack of skills and training and the prices at Timpson's. I got a far better service and a better price from a local cobbler whose skills were far superior.. Plus they made me pay twice and still did not fix the first pair.. they just left the old glue and added some glue and took my cash. They did not fix the shoes properly. And charged twice. That is just not on."

Mike was an absolute star - I went in for a key repair for my (new to me) car, and rather than charge me a small fortune, as he could have done, he fixed the problem and kept the price down. I'd already been quoted £50 at another branch change the case and cut a new key (I'd already tried a cheap case I bought online and it fell apart within a day). Really friendly and a great service - couldn't recommend him enough.
