3/10/2023 - Tuesday, we went to this Stables restaurant for dinner. This Stables restaurant has won many food award recognition over the years. Their quality of food were secon to none. Staff are lovely, polite, and attentive. Service was very quickly & attentive, well taken care of. Thanks to all the other servers and Suzie for their excellent, warm & friendly service. Highly recommended ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

Fantastic food & staff & those that know me well know that I truly appreciate all that every member of staff do in any business. Sometimes folk don't get the appreciation they deserve. So a big thank you to all the Team tonight at The Stables. Ben, Nicola, Molly & Phillip were all amazing, helpful, friendly, fun staff & Andy is such a woww, amazing chef. Can't forget young George, the real worker in the kitchen who works so hard & Storm, the dog. As always we were last folk out restaurant but totally recommend

Wow, is all we can say. I'd recommend this restaurant! They let us in at the last minute last night (we just walked in), but they never rushed us one moment. The food was to die for. Best food we've had. Definitely be making a return visit before we head home. Complements to the chef and all the team. Thank you!

Absolutely brilliant. Food was so flavoursome. We were a party of 5 so we sampled a large proportion of the menu and it was all very tasty. Staff very friendly. Highly recommend.

The seared scallops with black pudding are excellent. The grilled rack of ribs is generously-portioned (seemed enough to feed a smallfamily!) and very tasty, although the meat can get dry. The sauce is perfect though, and the accompanying corn on cob, coleslaw and chips are delicious. Do also get the chocolate tart with vanilla ice-cream to finish off your meal - this one is definitely worth an order.Service is attentive, but be prepared to wait for your food. Reservations are essential.

Amazing food. Ribeye was cooked perfectly! Pork Belly appetizer was very good. The salmon was amazing too. Desserts: the tablet sundae and cheesecake I highly recommend both. So tasty!!!

While the food was tasty and steak was cooked to perfection, the horrible service and very long delays in getting served results in a rare 2 star review.Having read gushing positive reviews about this place, my girlfriend and I.. Tourists from out of town decided to stop by.We called and booked a table for 2 at 630pm.We arrived at 620pm and we're promptly seated. The evening is looking great. Then things started to go downhill.It took us 15 mins to get our orders taken..with 2 tables who arrived after us being served first by the pony tailed sole waitresses there.I waved her down and politely informed her we were ready to order, but was told in a somewhat mocking demeanor that she would be right with me. It took her another 10mins to get back to us.The 2 items we wanted to order.. Ribs and and the risotto were not available. No one told us in advance. Big letdown. To add salt to the wound, the one low alcohol beer on the menu also wasn't available.Food took even longer to arrive.We waited 40 mins before both our burger and steak arrived. Though the taste was good and portions were generous, the accompanying sauce was way too little for a steak of that size.Although my cutlery was swapped out to include a serrated knife, my partner wasn't even given a steak knife. She relied on a bread knife to cut her burger.We asked for water and I made it clear we wanted hot water. We were served a water jug with cold water.End of the night, we can't help feeling very frustrated at the quality of service and long food wait times.We weren't the only ones. We noticed other tables too incurred at least 30 min wait times for food. Perhaps we are an Asian couple.. Was this the reason our table was skipped not once but twice in getting orders taken? One can't help but to draw conclusions.Given the chance, we won't be back again.There are many other establishments in the area worth exploring. With hopefully better table service.If you decide to come here, come very early and hopefully you're of the right skin color to receive proper table service that deserves your hard earned money.And be prepared for long wait times for your food.

We highly recommend that you find the opportunity during your travels to dine at this gem of a restaurant.We booked in advance, recommend as we had tried the day before and unfortunately it was full.On arrival we were greeted with a warm welcome and led to our table. The service throughout our meal was of an exceptional high standard and the team checked back with us regularly to ensure we were happy and had all we needed - excellent. Particularly as the restaurant was busy, we felt our, and the other service we observed was personable, attentive and the staff made our evening special.When our food arrived, wow are you in for a truly wonderful culinary experience. The quality of the ingredients is evident and it was cooked to perfection. The portions and accompanying sauces were plentiful.In all sincerity our review will not do this place justice as it truly is a dining experience you will not forget and want to replicate.We will definitely recommend and incorporate another trip to Fort William to return.Thank you to the Stables team.
