Carvilles Tattoo Studio

Had a cover up Tattoo done here today by Nik and my Tattoo came out amazing! I was very impressed! Would definitely use again and I would highly recommend Carvilles. Very clean and hygienic with lovely staff.

Firstly, what a brilliant bunch of people. Welcoming, friendly and just act like normal people. None of this fake customer service, they are real people that care about what they do and are passionate about it.My other half and I booked to have a tattoo done on the same day - easiest booking process ever! A special mention has to go to Mia, who did both our tattoos and was a great laugh throughout. The end result was perfect for both of us and we're really happy with them.I would highly recommend this studio, so much that we'll definitely be returning soon.Thank you to all that we met on the day for making us feel so welcome and keep up the brilliant work you all do.

Great place to get a tattoo done. All the staff and Nick my tattooist was very easy to talk to and made it humorous and bearable for my first tatoo. I highly recommend them to anyone.

Had a cover up by Mia, first did a consultation, then a week later had the tattoo.Mia did a fantastic job on my cover up, really chilled, enthusiastic at the same time.Makes the process so much nicer knowing she loves her work and takes great pride in what she does.

After.Have been going to carvilles for a couple years now and always been happy with the work I had done with Jack Coe.This time I have just had Taylor improve on my punisher skull, and I really love the end result. Really brought to life and vibrant and demonic.All the tattooists in there are really chilled out, friendly and helpful and talkative ( which being a personal trainer is great for me).Brilliant prices and excellent work.Highly recommend

Lovely little studio with lovely staff. I got 3 tattoos with Baz and they are perfect, exactly how I wanted them for a great price. I will definitely be back for more and would definitely recommend Carvilles :) Overall I'm very happy and think they're doing a fantastic job. The ladies who work there are sweethearts too, thank you guys!

Had a piercing done here on a whim. I have numerous piercings including cartilage and usually get pierced by a very high standard piercing shop up north which has exceptional standards, which only showed how poor the cleanliness and standards are sr carvilles.I had my helix pierced whilst my friend had her tongue done (warning sign one - the piercer not knowing names of piercings!). I was not asked to sign any paperwork (another warning sign).The girl put gloves on but then was messing with her clothing defeating the purpose of putting gloves on in the first place. She used a sharpie to mark my ear rather than a single use stick (which I later found out was used just before my piercing on my friends tongue!! And god knows how many other peoples body parts - not hygienic or good practice at all). She then proceeded to cut the plastic catheter with non sterile scissors prior to performing the piercing, again defeting the purpose of having sterile equipment. Got unsteralised jewellery out of a plastic bag and proceeded to pierce my ear without any cleaning or preparation of the skin beforehand! I wish I had spoken up and walked away but put up with it as I dislike confrontation.To make things worse there was inappropriately sized jewellery used (and externally threaded which can cause damage to tissue due to the thread being on the labret rather than the ball end and way too long for a helix piercing! Even accounting for swelling).To top it all off I was also given incorrect aftercare instructions ( 2 weeks cleaning 2x a day, 2 weeks cleaning 1 a day and 6 weeks to start changing the jewellery- it's a minimum of 3 months healing for a cartilage piercing but realistically a minimum of 6 months for most people which I'm aware of from previous experience). There was also no mention of downsizing after 6ish weeks which would definitely be required considering the length of the labret used!Photos attached show my ear after the piercing including the length of the bar compared to the length I should have been pierced with that was used for piercing a previous helix piercing. I ended up giving my ear a thorough clean when i got back as felt it necessary after my experience and swapped the jewellery straight away to a spare sterile labret and end I had to prevent any issues from the post length.Definitely won't be back here and would much rather travel 4 hours away to my regular piercing shop where I know the standards and hygiene levels are exceptional.

Absolutely amazing place and the staff were amazing and super friendly, took my daughter to get her ears pierced they made her feel so calm and welcomed. I had my nose pierced to, the staff was amazing, the place was so clean and tidy, I would definitely come back again for a tattoo they were amazing. One of the best places I've been to and never met such lovely staff, even the after care I received on the phone was amazing, will be going back in October to change my nose stud to a hoop but I highly recommend going to this place.

A family run business with wonderful customer service. This was my first needle piercing and they were so supportive. I don’t have a lot of money but I really wanted my helix done and they were so reasonable and gave me a fair deal. Even when I changed my mind at the last minute they were easygoing and made the whole experience much more relaxing. And don’t worry if you faint they are very reassuring :) Will definitely come here in the future!
