Definitely, these people DO NOT know the business. My wife and I ordered two coffees and waited in line for 20 minutes! I complained and noted in the US, once someone orders a coffee, the cashier fills in a coffee when the system is withdrawing money and printing the receipt. They do not hold coffee orders behind Moca or other time-taking orders. I got a venti that had as much as a grande!Hey Starbucks, close this store. They steal from coffee and they don’t know the business. I left Edinburgh but I will check google map and wish don’t see this store anymore.

Dirty store, Disgusting toilets, not checked in past 24hrs. If you gonna open on a Sunday, you gotta clean on a Sunday tooChanged my mind about eating and drinking, because the standards of a toilet reflect the standards of the kitchen. Didn't wanna get sick on my holiday.

Hands down probably one of the best looking Starbucks out there, especially on a sunny day! ☀️ ample amount of seating as well. Perfect place to work/study

The food was not good at all. My panini's contents were thin, with barely any mozzarella. The cinnamon bun and the chocolate chip cookie were stale. The only things which were good were the drinks. The person who took our order was very efficient, but one member of staff was so mixed up she didn't know who's drink was who's.Very disappointing, and expensive for the visit.

July 8, 2023. Girl working the front with dark hair and braces was abrasive and abrupt. Store looks as though it hasn't been swept or cleaned in days. Trash everywhere, floors dirty and bugs along the bar. Upstairs seating has ZERO ventilation. Strange that the windows are sealed shut as I would think this would be a major fire hazard!!!!

I love the ambience in the first floor. The window seats in the first floor are just simply the best spot to seat still and appreciate the beauty of the city. Queue can be busy at times and be crowded in the ground floor when ordering. Photos taken are in different dates.

Whilst the service here was reasonably quick and friendly, the upstairs seating area was in a really embarrassing state, as you can see from the attached image. And if there’s nowhere to leave your rubbish, you can imagine that customers leave used cups and plates on tables. The whole upstairs looked untidy and unclean. There’s no denying that this is a busy Starbucks - it’s on the Royal Mile after all! But this was not a few minutes of rubbish accumulation, rather several hours. Either the shop is understaffed or the workforce just couldn’t be bothered.

Probably the worst customer service I’ve had at a Starbucks. I came to the counter and stood back and said I wasn’t sure what I wanted yet. I asked if they had hot chocolate and they said yes. I said I couldn’t find it on the menu and looked at the employee, and they said nothing. I looked back and repeated this statement and looked back to the employee only to be met with radio silence again, and impatient look on their face. I finally gave up and blindly ordered three hot chocolates not having any idea of the cost because the employee offered no help. As I was ordering another customer in the next line had come in and was ordering a white chocolate hot chocolate. I asked the employee helping me if I could change my large hot chocolate to a medium and she rolled her eyes and went to put the large cup back on the stack. I motioned her to keep it and I’d order another because she had obviously strained herself by the effort it took to grab the cup in the first place. No, I didn’t say this but it’s what she acted like. Why else would you treat a customer so poorly? I needed help finding an item not on the menu but frequently served at coffe houses and I quickly asked for a size change before anything had been made or paid for. She didn’t even offer me a receipt and ignored me once I had tapped my card. I didn’t ask for anything complicated, I wasn’t rude, or demanding but this employee acted like it was a huge burden to help me. Isn’t that their job?Upstairs is a restroom and a large seating area. It was pretty bustling that day, although no one was in line when I walked to the counter to order. It’s next door to the makers market in the Tron Kirk and the seating area has a nice view from the windows.
