Lovely place to eat and would go again.Couple of points, men's hand dryer not working. Waiters shouldn't serve drinks with their hand over the top of the glass where you're about to drink from. Small points but when a table for 2 is over £150 you expect the basics to be minimum standard.

What a beautiful venue, for a special meal or a spot of lunch.Excellent service, everyone is treated with utmost respect and courtesy. The food is absolutely spot on.Very reasonable prices.Great atmosphere inside, even when the weather is blowing up a storm outsideTry the chocolate bombe for desert.Thank you to all staff at The Ivy Exeter

Pretty good food, well presented, but service is very lacking, seemingly due to less staff than is needed. We were left with empty wine glasses for too long on 2 occasions (worth saying £55.00 for a bottle of cava is astronomically expensive). If a restaurant takes the responsibility for filling patrons glasses, they must have enough trained waiters to accomplish same. We felt unattended and let down. It rather spoilt our anniversary evening, trying to get the attention of a waiter for our wine most of the time.Cannot recommend.

We had a party of 8 at the Ivy on a Friday lunchtime to celebrate two 70th birthdays. Overall, we had a nice time, but left with a mixed experience.Pros* Good with booking as we had to change numbers twice* We arrived 15 minutes early and was seated* Beautiful asthetic in the restaurant, including the ladies room* We mostly had good quality food & tasty entertaining" drinks* We had the table for over 2.5 hours

Recently, I took my girlfriend to the ivy for a date just before she leaves to go back home in Singapore. As to be expected, the food was outstanding and I couldn’t fault it. I had this lovely Korean-style chicken with Jalapeño sauce and my girlfriend had a curry. The setting inside was great and the acoustics weren’t too loud despite the large amount of people.I didn’t give this 5 stars is because at the end I did feel like I was being ushered out of the restaurant. we decided to have dessert in the cinema so we said no to the menu. After this the bill came immediately and so did the man with the pin pad. I wanted to stay longer so I could drink my drink and enjoy my company, but it did feel as though the food came very quickly and they wanted us to leave even though we hadn’t even spent 45 minutes in the restaurant. This slightly annoyed me, especially considering the price I paid for the food and drinks. Clearly they just wanted to give our table to someone else because we weren’t going to spend anymore. This was more my error for not staying any longer, so maybe if you do want to go don’t feel pressured to leave, take all the time you need because the ivy isn’t a fast food chain.

Service was lovely, all the staff were very polite and accommodating. However the food was ‘okay’. Starters were beautiful but felt main courses were lacking. For the price I was disappointed. Unfortunately I can’t say that I would return.

A grand atmosphere, very pretty. Friendly staff but perhaps could’ve been more proactive. Also, I didn’t enjoy being seated essentially shoulder to shoulder with neighbouring diners. Very timely service however with a delicious and beautifully presented mushroom and truffle linguine, albeit served a little colder than I prefer. Strawberry and lime margarita was fabulous, I enjoyed the sugar rim.

I'm usually excited to try new places and flavour combinations, but this menu was a bit pretentious. All of the dishes were okay"

Food was very good. The dry aged Ribeye was very tasty, if a tad undercooked. Service was very good too, would have been brilliant with better training on the menu.
