Lovely site when it's quiet. Road next door can be very noisy. Facilities are limited, only three gents toilets and three urinals to cater for the whole site. Plus didn't appear to have been cleaned during the weekend...

Fading Star.We booked 2 weeks with a caravan. We have stayed her a few times before. When we arrived there was a note to call a mobile - "we are not far away.I called the number - straight to voicemail.I called a total of 11 times over the next 75 minutes. We decided to give up. Searched for another site locally - Barnstones - so we decided after contacting the incredibly friendly owner

Lovely spot - Friendly owners but a pompous little man on a cart lacks customer service skills

Great site. Very friendly welcome. Clean facilities. Good size pitches. Grounds kept in good order. Warden Rus is a credit to the site. Will be back and would highly recommend to others.

A fantastic site, we enjoyed a lovely few day's away, the site was quiet but well kept, showers and toilet were adequate, and had everything you needed. Lovely site manager v informative and helpful which made our stay welcoming, a real asset to Anita and her husband. Great local pub within walking distance, which only served drinks but again was welcomed. Will definitely return.

The purpose of our visit to Anita’s touring park was so that 3 generations of my family could meet up and enjoy a summer afternoon and evening together. With this in mind we telephoned the site prior to making our booking to ask whether visitors were allowed on site and if so was there an additional charge for this. The owner said that visitors were allowed and there was no charge but they did ask that a donation was made to their chosen charity the air ambulance. On this basis we booked a hard standing for a Motorhome and 2 (quite expensive £25 per night) tent pitches we also informed the owner of the number of visitor that we were expecting and were informed that this would not be a problem. On arrival at the site we checked in and specifically asked about the arrangements for our visitors who would be on site the following day we were told that they should park in the tent field. I was very disappointed the following morning when I visited reception to be told that there had a been a complaint made against us for playing football in our pitch and partying and that all visitors should have reported to reception and that there would be a charge for this. Well I admit that my 8 year old nephew and his adult brother were kicking a football to each other on our pitch for no more than 10 minutes. During the afternoon and evening we were not noisy we did not play any loud music it was as planned a family enjoying each other’s company. There is an 11pm to 8am quiet time on site which we observed and all our visitors had left well before this time. Had I been aware that visitors should have booked in then I would have done this, I said to the owner when I was being told off like a child that I was happy to pay but that the arrangement had been to make a donation she then backed down and I put money into the donation goblet she then told me that I was putting in too much surely that was up to me. Before leaving the site my husband went to discuss the issues with her and to be honest was appalled by her attitude that she just laughed at him and all he was hoping to achieve was to give a balanced view. The lack of willingness to listen to a customer was the nail in the coffin and from other reviews that I have read we are not the only ones to have received such poor customer service from this owner. We definitely won’t return.

A well kept site with plenty of space for the kids to play cricket, football etc. Decent size pitches with hard standing and EHU. Small shop with the basics in. Priced well given how clean and well kept it is. Warden (Rus) was very helpful (even got his ladders out to retrieve a toy plane from 15ft up a tree!). Gave a short tour when I arrived and made sure I knew where everything was and where he was should I need any help. Lovely short weekend break just 20 miles from home. Will add it to our list of places to return to next year.
