Delicious meal at Di Paolo tonight. Never disappoints. Fresh and perfectly cooked. The Dover Sole served off the bone and not a bone on the plate anywhere. Service was perfect. If you haven't tried this restaurant in Gerrards Cross then you are missing out. Thoroughly recommended.

Our favourite Italian restaurant in Amersham closed. So my wife and I started to look for a new restaurant. We'll we have found it. Di Paolo in Gerrards Cross. A family run business with a real Italian menu. Our first meal here was for our 39th wedding aniversary. We most certainly were not disappointed, and we will be back many times in the future. Staff were very attentive and the owner and architect of the cuisine personal spent time with us on hearing our story. My wife is disabled and in a wheel chair and this was easily accessible. Frankly I can't praise this place enough, my wife likes steak well done and my calf liver pink, we were not disappointed, they even modified the desert to acknowledge our anniversary. This is no a chain or low budget establishment, but the food, service, and atmosphere were well worth it.

It was our first vist to Di Paolo last night. It definitely won't be our last. The food was amazing, great service and you can tell its family run. The owner chatted to all the diners making us feel welcome and appreciated. This level of service is rare to find these days. The restaurant decor is beautiful, matching the lovely atmosphere. I am already looking forward to our next visit and highly recommend.

At a delightful Italian restaurant in Gerrard Cross, we entrusted the owner, Paolo, to select our main courses, and what ensued was pure culinary magic. Paolo's expertise led us to savor an exceptional Sea Bass grilled fillet and a truly delightful Veal dish. The Sea Bass, with its perfectly cooked fillet and tantalizing flavors, left us in awe. Meanwhile, the veal, prepared to perfection and tailored to my fussier father's taste, was an absolute winner. Paolo's attentiveness and personalized service added an extra touch of enchantment to our experience. A truly unforgettable dining journey guided by Paolo's culinary mastery. Precious Focaccia, made like only in Italy is possible. Thank you

Best Italian restaurant we have tried at least in a couple of years! Good options gluten free as well for my daughter.

Visited on a weekday with a friend for dinner. There are plenty of parking spaces in front of the restaurant, which is very convenient. We were greeted at the door by a friendly waiter who showed us our table. The restaurant decor seems outdated, a bit grim. It would be much nicer if they freshen it up. The toilet was clean but needs renovation as well. The menu isn't so big and they also have daily specials. They don't have enough variety of non-alcoholic drinks, so we ordered some water and a alcohol free Perionni. We shared a starter and ordered an antipasti platter, which was nice but covered in olive oil, which was a bit too much for me. The bread was also a bit too hard. I chose mushroom ravioli, which were nice but the sauce was too heavy for my taste. My friend went with schrimp pasta, which she enjoyed. I also ordered tiramisu, which was excellent. Service was nice, but when we wanted to pay, we struggled to get the attention of our waiter. Overall, the whole experience was okay, nothing too special.

We went for my best friends birthday last weekend. I have been looking for great Italian food and can definitely say this place did not disappoint. The lamb and chicken were done beautifully. My husband got dover sole as takeout and fussy as he is with fresh seafood ate it within mere minutes. I will definitely recommend to friends and family and going back soon!

Certainly above average food and restaurant. My veal was delicious and well cooked. My fish soup as a starter was very good but could have done with being hotter. Like my food to be piping hot when it arrives at the table. The Tiramisu dessert was a bit of a disappointment. It had been frozen and was still slightly frozen. I’ve had hundreds of Tiramisu’s in my time and this one was certainly not ranked as among the best I’ve had. Prefer a tiramisu to be more moist and slightly gooey in texture, the one in this restaurant was too dry and too much like a cake consistency, also had been frozen.Service was excellent and atmosphere pretty good. Overall not bad, and I’ll merrily return at some point in the not too distant future.
