Travelodge Winchester

my first time ever in winchester .had no idea where hotel was in proximity to shops and museums took a chance and glad I did, hotel is 50 metres from high street and spitting distance from the cathedral . the public car park I used is just across the road .hotel was very clean and very quieton arrival I was impressed with the friendliness and informative of the staff and they were very helpful - a credit to travelodge

Not a nice place to stay.Payed for WiFi but could not get it in my phonePayed for 2 breakfasts to go on the 2 day's we stayed there we had to prove we payed for them as they didn't believe us.Asked for the tea and coffee to be topped up and toilet rolls they said the cleaner never had time.Never told us they didn't have a car park so that cost us another 40 pound plus to parkNever again

Travel lodge is a travel lodge. We found this place down a dim lit street with no signage telling us where it was. Even Google maps didn't know we're it was. The room smelled of wet dogs and cigarettes. The bed was so uncomfortable we didn't sleep and had a long drive ahead of us. We were left waiting by the security doors 10 minutes before we were buzzed in. When directed to the parking lot it was not free as the young lady had said. We told the girl this and she just said oh. We had a little emergency which we sorted quickly, Both girls at reception found this amusing. We usually use Travelodge a lot but think we will be changing

I had the pleasure of encountering Mia during my stay at the Travel Lodge hotel, and I must say, she left a lasting impression. Mia's exceptional customer service skills shone through from the moment she realized our room wasn't up to par. Without hesitation, she swiftly arranged for us to switch to a better room, making sure we felt welcomed and valued.What truly stood out was Mia's kindness and grace, even while managing the hotel all on her own. Despite being rushed off her feet, she remained calm, composed, and attentive to the needs of every guest. Mia's dedication to ensuring our stay was comfortable and enjoyable made a significant difference in our experience at the Travel Lodge. Her exceptional service deserves recognition and appreciation.

Gave my room away before i could check in and was told they had a room available for me in another city (thanks).... In the end I managed to get a room by downgrading to the only vacant room, left vacant due to having a smashed tv

During my stay at Travelodge, I found the accommodation to be reliably clean and comfortable. The rooms were neat and provided a pleasant space to relax, ensuring a good night's sleep. The bathrooms and toilets, though standard in their design, were maintained well and met all expectations in terms of cleanliness and functionality. There were no faults or issues to report; everything worked as it should, contributing to a hassle-free and enjoyable stay. While not extravagant, the reliability and cleanliness made me content and satisfied with my choice.It's also within walking distance to the cathedral and there are many shops just behind the hotel. I would recommend parking at the Chesil multi storey car park as it's cheaper than the one the hotel recommends. Or the Tower multi storey car park but it's a lot further walking distance. If you're looking for a straightforward and dependable place to stay, Travelodge fits the bill perfectly.

Travelodge does what is required cheap comfortable room with TV, coffee/yes making facilities and a lovely shower

Bog standard, TV had no Signal, Air con only stays on for a matter of mins then turns off, Hand was was in shower and Shower Gel by the sink. Drinks from vending machine were warm.

Would like to thank the two receptionist whilst at my stay. Jess and Ethan. Excellent costumer service and very friendly. Thank you to the manager for being available when needed to ask questions. Definitely recommend coming to the travellodge. No problems at all.Thank you to all the amazing staff and making my stay a happy one

Decent little hotel in a great location. Reaching the hotel was very difficult due to the Christmas market. Find a cheaper car park than the one they recommended, better to use the multi storey down the road and walk a bit. Service was lovely, extra pillows on request. Room was scruffy but it was cheap so can't complain too much!
