Big Blue Surf School

Kelan and Dylan looked after a big group of us for our lesson. They were super friendly and offered tips and help once we were on the water. They were great with the kids. We all had a wonderful time and would recommend this surf school to anyone!

Noah was an excellent coach who gave ample instruction and support. Care was paid throughout lesson to ensure safety of all members. We were a small group of three so had plenty of 1 on 1 time, unsure what it would have been like in a larger group. Extra care and attention was paid to youngest member who struggled at points. Overall had a fantastic experience and would definitely try surfing again. Lesson started at 9am and finished at approx 11am although website stated this would be for 2.5 hours.

My son (6yr) and I (38yr) had a lesson with Kelan (apologies if not spelt correctly) and I cannot rate this lad and company high enough. He had my son standing within 10/15 minutes and had him looking like he was a born surfer within 30 mins.Best experience of our holiday.

I had a fantastic experience here, even more so as I'm a 50 something beginner!! The lesson included all of the equipment so was perfect for anyone who doesn't have all of the gear. We were at it for a good couple of hours and the instructor was knowledgeable and patient with us which also made the whole experience that much more fun. I'd definitely do it again and we're already thinking about when that could happen. Can't recommend this school highly enough - thanks Gill!!!!!

Had an amazing individual surf session with Big Blue this afternoon. Fantastic tuition to help with weight transfer on the board and turning as well as knowledgeable tips on reading the ocean and the waves. Can thoroughly recommend their friendly and positive approach to surf coaching.

Fantastic!Excellent experience from start to finish. I have been disabled since collapsing at work 3 years ago and haveseveral neurological conditions that effect my balance among other things!Cyril and Stan helped me to enjoy the sea for the first time in years. Would highly recommend to anyone with a disability or able body. I was made to feel safe and relaxed as they helped me on the beach wheelchair up to the water's edge and provided full details of the lesson ahead, lifting and supporting me every step of the way. A day to remember. Best therapy ever. Thanks guys and thanks again to Gill for all the info!

My wife and I had a great time with our 2.5hr surf lesson, the team at Big Blue were really friendly. We had full board and wetsuit hire included and Logan, our instructor, was really helpful at giving us pointers on how to improve while we were out in the water. It was a group of only 4 which meant we weren't too crowded in the water and each got plenty of Logan's time. We were smiles all round for the whole time, even if we are aching a bit now, the day after! Would definitely go again!
