What a lovely down to earth couple who run the Be You Be Bold 1850 studio, near Belper Derbyshire. I was made to feel part of a family the second I spoke to Kirsty, while she sorted out the best date for me, talked about what I wanted to achieve from my photo session and what I could expect.The big day arrived and I met James the fabulous photographer who laughs and wise cracks just made the whole day so relaxing and magical, they even bought cake.Once the shoot was over together Kirsty, James and I went through all the amazing photos not once did I feel pressured into purchasing anything, but I did purchase a beautiful wall art which has pride of place on my bedroom wall.Thankyou for the most amazing wonderful experience, I would highly recommend

Be Bold Be You Photography
Like many ladies I went into my shoot so nervous, but walked out with soo much more confidence and feeling amazing! The whole team were great, from creating an amazing look with hair and makeup, making me feel so welcome and then in the studio too - it was so much fun & I soon felt very relaxed and it showed in my pictures. Couldn't decide on just one or two so ended up with a whole bunch! Would highly recommend to anyone wanting a confidence boost, it will do you so much good!

Be Bold Be You Photography
Before I was about to embark on major surgery I did a boudoir photo shoot - I was quite self conscious and unsure I would be happy with my body after my surgery so I went into it with a million things running through my mind. It began with a fantastic makeover and I felt transformed! Then through to the studio where I was unsure what to expect but was quickly put at ease and found myself relaxing and enjoying it minute by minute. It was an amazing experience and when I saw the end result at my photo viewing I felt so proud and totally empowered. I enjoyed it so much that I went back a second time 7 years on from my surgery. Still the same attention to detail, the same quality and had a second fantastic experience. I cannot recommend them enough.

Be Bold Be You Photography
There’s nothing else I can say but amazing!! I was so nervous before my photo shoot but Kirsty and James were so relaxed and easy to be around that any nervousness disappeared as soon as I walked in the door. James’s energy, and the stories he tells during the studio time make you feel like your having a chat with an old friend, not (in my case anyway) walking around half naked!! The whole thing exceeded all my expectations and the final photos and art work that I purchased were just…..wow!!

I recommend BBBY to everyone. I came out of my photoshoot feeling liberated. Like I saw myself through a whole new set of eyes. It's real. It's down to earth. It's natural, relaxing, in a comfortable setting. There's no pressures it just easy going and a massive fun experience. Kirsty and James are the most incredible team. They know their stuff and James captures the most wonderful imagery. Just do it. Jump in. Be Bold!

My wife has visited previously and has always had a great experience and beautiful photos. Since suffering with a heart attack last year, my confidence hit an all time low. Being a male, I have found it hard to rebuild and my wife suggested a family photo shoot. I was apprehensive about but after meeting James I felt very at ease and he really brought me out of myself.We had a great experience and personally it will be something I will remember in years to come.I was blown away by the images and can't wait to get them back.Thank you to James for his professional, yet fun and outgoing humour. We will definitely be booking again.
