What lovely customer service, very welcoming and under no pressure at all to buy. Both allowed my husband to try on as many rolex watches as he wanted to, and offering advice, before we made a purchase. dog frienly aswell which was an added bonus, happy customers thank you very much.

My sister passed out outside of this shop. They were amazing, took us inside while waiting for ambulance, gave me water and sat me down while she was still unconscious. They couldn't have done any more for us.I would so appreciate them knowing how grateful we are.

I had a really bad experience with this shop. I bought a pre-owned Rolex from them around 7 years ago. They told me it was all completely authentic, provided paperwork (their own, not Rolex paperwork) and off I went very happily. That is, until I sent it off to Rolex for a service... They told me that neither the dial or the bezel was of their manufacture, and that they wouldn't be able to service the watch without first replacing those parts. The cost for the two parts was almost £2k. Obviously I went back to Whittakers to understand what had happened, and why the parts weren't genuine. Their first response was that they couldn't do anything for me, since 7 years had lapsed. I made it clear that I hadn't simply changed my mind after 7 years, but that the item I had bought in good faith was not actually authentic. Much dialogue followed. It ranged from perfectly reasonable and good customer service; one of the owners offering me a refund, to the downright hellish; another of the owners threatening to sue me for slander if I ever recounted my experience on a review site. Well, here I am. In the end I got a partial refund for the watch but the store manager, in a colossal lapse of judgement, told me that they would be reselling the watch as it was. Double profit on the same inauthentic item. I was astounded. So please, if you are thinking of buying a pre-owned watch from Whittakers - be careful. My advice would be to walk across the road to Market Cross instead. They seem to have far more integrity and I doubt the manager there would make emotionally-charged threats to customers.

My favourite jewellers. Always pleasant, helpful, knowledgeable and honest. Take the time to discuss your requirements, offer suggestions or alternatives. Offer resizing, redesign of your own jewellery. Made my original, slightly dated setting, engagement ring into the most stunning modern gorgeous piece.

Excellent Service from both Nigel & Richard. They spent a lot of timeshowing us various items. We came away very happy indeed with our2 purchases. Highly recommend.
