Premier Inn York City (Blossom St North) hotel
Very pleasant hotel, the room was clean and comfy and the reception staff were helpful and friendly. The location is only about a 10-15 minute walk from York city centre, and very close to the train station. Would happily stay again.

Was greeted by a very lovely lady on reception, she was very chatty and very kind and helpful (cancelled a booking I made in error). Room was absolutely spotless! Good location, 10 minute walk from centre of York and keeping that in mind, very good value. We got a parking space at 11am but it was nearly full - that was excellent value also at £14 for 24hrs!

The location was great, we chose the hotel because of the proximity to the train station and also when you book a Premier Inn you think you know what you are getting, a good standard. In the past it has always been a good standard but on this occasion these standards weren't met. When we got to the room there was an unpleasant odour but the room was okay. The smell however seemed to get worse over the 2 night stay. When we first got to the room, we opened the window and aired it out and it didn't seem too bad but it kept returning and each time it seemed worse. It was like a rancid hazelnut smell coming from the bathroom. We thought when we came back to the room after being out for the day things would have been resolved with a proper clean-up of the smelly bathroom but that wasn't the case. Primer inn no longer clean the rooms each day unless you request it, clearly to save money, but we didn't know this as it wasn't explained on check in. I don't know what was wrong with the way hotels have always operated that if you don't want your room cleaning and restocking you put the tag on the door handle? The net result was the smell continued to strengthen because running the very noisy fan all night and/or leaving the window open weren't options. There were a few black sticky spots on the bathroom floor. I think that the bathroom hadn't been thoroughly cleaned and as such the source of the bad odour wasn't fully removed. There were a few other little things the worst of which was the TV volume was locked down at a very low level meaning that on some of the quieter channels you couldn't clearly hear the programs. Also, the retaining clip on the bed bases to ensure they don't move apart in the night wasn't fastened. A little thing soon remedied but it isn't what I expect from the Premier Inn brand, attention to detail is important and seemed to be neglected.

Another Premier Inn. This one is well located for central York. Small parking area at rear. I asked for a quiet room and was allocated 3002 in Viking Block. Ground floor. OK until delivery lorry arrived at 6am with its reversing warning blaring away! Room ok, bed comfortable (it’s a Premier Inn so that’s a given), bathroom ok - shower over bath is never my favourite. Breakfast was in the building next door - 2 mins - all the usual. I went quite late - 9.30 and it was still busy. Poor sausages.

This is a lovely and cozy inn walking distance to York's city center. Our first room was extremely hot with no air conditioning but the staff was nice enough to move us to another room. Zero issues.

Visited York for 4 days and stayed here, location is perfect for accessing the sights in York if you don't mind a walk. Rooms are clean and staff are friendly. Only issue I had with staying this time was we couldn't open our windows and it was quite hot for our stay, there was in room air con but turned itself of after been on for a few hours. Other than that a great overall stay.

Easy check in/check out. Bright, clean communal areas. Spacious, comfortable and very clean rooms. Exactly what I expect from a Premier Inn.Brilliant location for both the railway station and for exploring the city centre.

The staff are friendly and helpful. Rooms are clean, and they are very quiet. Close to the centre and railway station. Able to leave bags at the hotel until time to leave. So, you are not carrying around with you.

This place is clean, and provides a safe place to stay. There is limited parking, but we were lucky to get a spot. They allow you to pay for parking (a bit of a cost) for an extra day so you can walk around and enjoy the city before heading off.Walking distance to the Jarvic Center, the Shambles, lots of eateries, and great shopping!!

Not a bad hotel, very clean and nice rooms, however there was a dead rat outside reception when we arrived which was… an interesting surprise. But this review is mainly focused on the bar/restaurant. The service is atrocious. Bar took a good 10 minutes for staff to even show up. In the evening we waited 10 minutes for a staff member to seat us at the restaurant, ordered our food fairly quickly. The restaurant was quite empty since we got there early. Our mains came in about an hour which is fair enough, but we waited 30-40 minutes for our plates to be cleared and made the mistake of ordering dessert. It took over an hour for them to serve us 2 ice creams, we kept calling over waiters to ask where our desserts were and the response every time was that they were ‘just plating them up’. Had to ask for the bill as soon as they brought desserts over in fear of having to wait another hour for service! The food was very mid to low quality although I wasn’t expecting anything amazing in the first place. Can’t fault the rooms but if you stay here please go somewhere else for food/drinks, save your time.
