Stayed here as we attended a wedding reception at hartford golf club. Very friendly welcome even though busy with an event. Very easy check in. Lovely room. We paid for breakfast in the morning. It was lovely, good choice too. It's a lovely pub and beautiful grounds. Wouldn't hesitate to stay again. Thank you for a lovely stay.

Everything was just what we were looking for in a romantic break away.My wife suffers from gluten intolerance and the staff were very obliging in ensuring that her restaurant choices were made in a gluten free way.We'll be back.

Although I love the location and decor of the pub I was really disappointed in the food, been twice now first time couldn’t fault the food it was amazing however on second visit the food was poor, chips were hard and pastry to my pie was also hard. My partner ordered fish and chips with a side of macaroni and cheese, there was no tarter sauce and the mushy peas may as well of been none existent, portion size to small and the macaroni cheese never made it to the table. I probably would of overlooked the mistake’s if it was busy but this was not the case

Been here many times with family and friends. Never had a bad experience. Staff are lovely, reasonably priced food. I have personally never stayed in rhe rooms but have had family.members who have and they say the rooms are lovely xx

Been here for Sunday dinner a couple of times now, and both times the food, the service, and the atmosphere have superb. Open fire, beautiful decor, varied menu and drinks. Well worth a visit.

We spent a night at this beautiful dog friendly hotel, and it was lovely. First time away in a hotel for our puppy. There was room for her crate in the room, the room was clean and on the ground floor for easy access to the rear of the property for walks etc. Service, food, atmosphere and staff were excellent. Pub garden is lovely even if the weather wasn’t on our side. Will definitely stay again. 5*

I stayed here for an event at a nearby venue. Easy to find, spacious car park ( overflow car park too). Check in was easy and every team member was polite, cheerful and helpful.My room was spacious, clean with a very comfortable bed and I loved the bath!Breakfast was not included in the stay, which was a shame. Reasonably priced cooked breakfast, but I thought the coffee / tea was expensive. Would have been nice to have unlimited coffee / tea with breakfast - especially for guests.Overall a great stay and would definitely recommend.
