Fantastic food! Soups, salads, sandwiches, healthy options and overall good selection for breakfast and lunch! Coffee is very nice too.Friendly staff with consultative approach.

Poor venue, it was much better in its old home, when there was seating. Now, you wait for your food in what can only be described as a rugby scrum.

Went there because I knew the one from Tower of London. The service was worse and I felt some options were missing like tuna. Anyway, great salads.

It was a really hot September day, approaching 30℃ feeling very much like the continent, reminded my of the holidays I had in Spain and Greece. This wasn’t a day for a huge hot meal, nor for spending a long time walking around.I didn’t have a huge break for lunch so popped to Birley Sandwiches for another of their salads. I had really enjoyed the salad I had there before.There was something of a queue, so had to wait a while. I have to say I was tempted by their sandwiches which seemed delicious, huge and quite good value as well. Maybe next time.I went with a salad without protein but was still delicious. They have a wide choice of protein, but I think it wasn’t really needed and didn’t add very much. I think I would have (if I was really hungry) have had some buttermilk chicken with the salad, or a chargrilled steak. However they don’t sell that kind of extra at Birley’s and I wasn’t that hungry in the heat.I had pasta, rocket, mozzarella, olives, tomatoes, avocado, mixed grilled vegetables and croutons. It was dressed with a caesar salad dressing. I do like how the salads is made, dressed and mixed in front of you.It was much bigger than I anticipated when I put it out on a plate, but it was delicious.

Had a salad at 10:30am, you know how stressful working in this area is, if you have to do this!

Absolutely one of my favourite places to go for lunch. Have been numerous times and it’s always consistent. They have a great selection of salads, sandwiches, soups and hot drinks. The salad is a little on the pricier side but they use premium ingredients and there’s loads of choice so it’s worth it. I’ve also tried the chicken mushroom sandwich toasted which is to die for! Some of the staff can come across a bit stand offish but the rest are super friendly. Also word of advice if you want a salad it’s best to go a little earlier than 12 before the lunchtime queues begin otherwise you will be waiting a while. However there’s never a queue for sandwiches.

Echoing other reviews.. food is good but the staff are so rude. They will go out of their way to be extra unaccommodating. As an example, getting a slice of bread thrown in the toaster will cost you more than having the bread untoasted.

Just love the soup and sandwiches. They do make my corn chowder a little spicier than I can take though
