Brilliant from start to finish! Sergio’s food is authentic, delicious and very reasonably priced - plus it’s a personal experience you rarely find. Harry was also a fantastic waiter, so clearly passionate and knowledgable about what he’s serving. We’ll be coming back and hoping to have the Cassata cake again!

Was in the mood for arancini and Googled every italian far and wide and stumbled upon La Gastronomia - How the gods have blessed me.Sergio upon request made 6 arancini fresh for me to pick up (pictures below don't do them justice) Amazing texture, appearance, quality (fresh produce is evident) and taste. My partner is from Venice and gave the nod of approval. Will 1000% be back. 5 stars for all aspects - Sergio is incredilby friendly and very informative with food knowledge, if you're in the area and after Italian, (try and call in advance so he can prepare something amazing or at least go and look) for a proper authentic Italian feel, this is the place to go in Winchester.

Finally an independent Italian (or even restaurant!) in a City full of average boring chain restaurants. The most personal service you will ever receive. The food is incredible. The decor and atmosphere is lovely and authentic. The pricing is also very reasonable. We love this place and will certainly be back. Well done Sergio and team! See you soon!

We have had food at Sergio’s several times and even our baby absolutely loves every single dish! It’s delicious, affordable and always very fresh. We have now had a catering done by Sergio for a family event and it didn’t disappoint, we have impressed our guests, food was just excellent! Highly recommend

Had lunch here on Thursday. So lovely - at last an authentic Italian! Limited menu because it’s totally governed by what was bought fresh that day. We had a plate of anti pasta which was delicious followed by sardines and octopus. We passed on the pasta course because we thought we would be too full but we regretted it because it looked delicious. Everything freshly cooked to order by Sergio who is passionate about his restaurant and the food he serves. We will defo go back again soon - and next time we’re having the pasta! Wouldn’t hesitate to recommend this place.

What an amazing place. Sergio is an excellent host. The menu unique for the day. The food is delicious and authentic, the courses are like an Italian meal, so definitely make the most and sample more than one dish. It feels like you're dining at Sergio's home in Italy.

I've visited Gastronomia twice and each visit was a delight. Sergio, the ultimate host, ensured a wonderful experience. The food is absolutely delicious, especially the three-course meal that was flawlessly executed. The desserts are true works of art. On another occasion, I enjoyed delectable desserts paired with a recommended Italian wine, all in the company of friends. La Gastronomia is a gem Winchester is lucky to have!

Love it here, Sergio is a magnificent host and cooks everything fresh. Welcoming and tasty food. Good variety on the menu. He does it all by himself. Reminds me of my wonderful visits to Italy. A little Italian in Winchester, would recommend.
