Stanton House is a Christian retreat centre, a beautiful old mansion set in lovely extensive grounds in rolling Oxfordshire countryside. If you're seeking peace and quiet to pray, meditate and seek the Lord away from the madding crowds, this is the place for you. Run by friendly, caring staff it provides all the amenities you need in a relaxed and bucolic setting. Can't recommend it highly enough.

Peaceful, quiet place for a prayer retreat. Have been using it for a couple of years and it is excellent every time. Great view from my room. And the food is delectable!

If you're seeking rest, tranquility and renewal, with no expectations placed upon you, then Stanton House is the perfect place. The house and grounds are beautiful, the staff are extremely helpful and welcoming and the food is delicious and very generous. I came away feeling refreshed and well rested. I will definitely be making a return visit very soon.

If I could give this place a zillion stars I would. Where do I start to explain. The house is beautiful & the grounds out of this world & where I had a very real experience of meeting with the Lord. The food was nothing short of perfection. There were 8 of us. 2 who had intolerances to dairy, tomatoes, onions, garlic & anything from their families. I also have a gluten intolerance. One the first evening, Matt cooked 3 different soups to ensure he met our needs. And that was how they continued to look after us. There’s a lovely gentle feel to the place (me thinks it’s Holy Spirit) and we can’t wait to go again. Can’t thank our hosts enough or God for sending us there.

Delightful, tranquil - and surprisingly rural so close to Oxford - location for a day retreat. Beautiful grounds and very pleasant staff. The light lunch was delicious too! Highly recommended.
