CTM Potters Supplies

Very poor customer service and record keeping. If you purchase large equipment from this supplier make sure you get them to put the serial number on the receipt. They do not keep this information. I purchased a wheel and have had problems with it. When needing it fixed a second time they accused me of already having a replacement wheel once before and I did not. I offered them the serial number to prove it but they didn't have a record of it. I had to wait for another employee to be contacted while on holiday to prove I was not lying. I also had to contact the actual manufacturer for help. They confirmed it was not my fault and just a faulty control board. CTM may give a year warranty on the equipment but if contacted about a problem they will blame the customer first instead of trying to help them fix the problem.

Very happy with CTM Potters Supplies, bought a potters starter kit last Wednesday and it arrived on Friday morning. Very fast service considering the current restrictions, tracked delivery by parcelforce too. Good price, decent quality product and fast delivery. I quite enjoyed speaking to Graeme over the phone to make the order, I'm a big fan of online ordering but it's nice to speak to a person sometimes. I will order from them again.

I bought a new Rohde Ecotop kiln from this supplier last year. Though I wasn't a complete novice of Ceramics I had no experience of using a kiln myself, having relied on the skills of a teacher at a pottery class to sort out the firing side of things. With Lockdown I decided to invest in my own kiln. I dithered over whether to get one second hand or new, opting in the end for new.I have nothing but praise for this company that have given me superb service since I made this purchase. They have a staff member at this branch who is very patient with customers and can explain safe use of this machine over the phone. I have had a few firing issues - of my own making - which Graeme has helped me sort out. They deserve these 5 stars!

How really annoying. Checked the website, which says it was updated 2 weeks ago, on which it says the shop is open today (saturday) until 2pm.Have driven from wakefield in the strength of that... to find it closed . Aagh!Update... have now been when open. Helpful young man tried to sort me out. Thanks

Great staff really friendly happy to help even in covid time. Brought glazes out to me to see them.

Products are competitively priced and they offer a comprehensive range, however the standard of customer service leaves much to be desired (I’m interested that some have left good reviews on customer service, is it personal I wonder? )If CTM were my business I would employ staff who really knew about the products they were involved in selling and also ideally possess a modicum of people skills. They also don’t open until 10am, a problem if you run a business yourself.

Staff are always friendly and ready to help locate items in the vast stock. Everything a potter or ceramicist could need in this compact place.

As a small-scale potter with a studio at home I really appreciate being able to ring up CTM and order what I need. Just had a wonderfully quick delivery of BRILLIANTLY packed clay. It's so demoralising to get clay delivered from other sources squashed flat or folded into horrible shapes! This is certainly the best pottery supplier in the land.
