I arrived a bit late because of traffic but was met with a friendly welcome and they fitted me in. My optometrist was excellent, tested my eyes very thoroughly, didn't make me feel rushed and answered all my questions. It was reassuring to opt for the more hi-tech scan of the eye that is offered at an extra fee. It's not compulsory, it's a choice but I felt that as I'm retired now I need to be mindful of my eye health and this was great. My optometrist took the time to chat it all through with me. The customer service throughout was great and I valued the warm welcome i received. Top marks from me.

Was fitted for new glasses today having been coming here for years. Customer service is always impeccable. In particular the front of house service from someone with red hair who's been there full time for as long as I can remember.

Great Experience while visiting the opticians today. the optician took his time with me and helped me out and got me out a jam. it’s worth noting that I was a visiting customer with no chance of return custom as I live in Scotland. Nevertheless, the optician took his time with me like I was a customer of many years. Couldn’t recommend them enough. A proper Gentleman!

Do not even hesitate to get your glasses and contact lenses here. Jason helped me pick the best frame. Amazing service and care. He patiently showed me all the frames and made very good suggestions.Also, Jeremy was wonderful with my contact lens consultation and fit. Amazingly patient. Jeremy spent so much time explaining everything and making sure I had all the info. A highly recommended optician.

The consultation was fine. The constant appointment reminders via text, email and 'phone [at 8pm at night!] is totally unacceptable and means I shall not use Boots again.

Boots Opticians Southampton - Above Bar
We have been going to Boots at 86 Above Bar for 5 years now they spotted something in our granddaughter's eyes that led to her being admitted to SGH for that reason we have built a trust with them and although we could have more local eye tests we choose to stay with them and travel to Southampton. The staff are patient, kind and very friendly and treat us with respect and compassion which makes the whole situation much more bearable. THANK YOU.

Appointment had to be made on line as phoned store 11 times then had to ring the call centre and because we wanted to have hearing tests on the same day had to go online to book four separate appointments as your system does not offer appointments for both! When we arrived were told appointments too close together so my husband would have to come back on a different day. In the end the audiologist managed to fit him in but we ended up being in the store much longer than we had anticipated.

This was the first time I have had an eye test at this particular store and the customer service was excellent. The two members of staff who I personally dealt with as in Jeremy and Vernah were excellent. Very helpful and polite.

I received a warm greeting, superb attention and great service from start to finish. I was seen by Michelle, Varun and Jason, all of whom can be proud of their service skills and customer courtesy during testing, selection of frames and lenses, and the purchase process itself. It is pleasurable to enter a shop that has such a lovely atmosphere! Not only that but all the staff are knowledgable and so helpful. I trusted them all - and they gave me good and usable advice. For the first time I collected my glasses and they only needed some very small tweeking - unheard of for me from previous opticians!
