Helpful to have advice - it is essential to know how the EPC rating system works because many improvements don't count much and the EPC report is dominated by totally impractical suggestions eg wall cladding (removing space in an already tiny flat or externally - would not be permitted in a conservation area). Dimplex Quantum seems to be the ONLY storage heater system that counts. However I was not impressed with the selection & management of contractors to do the work which cost me £175+VAT in addition to the cost of both the advice report and the new EPC. After several weeks they still had not found competitive quotes and I found the workmen myself via Google. There was little or no value in this for me.

Volunteering at BHESCo is fab - the team is friendly and energetic, the projects are cutting-edge, there's always lots that needs doing, and I'm learning so much!

This is an excellent service I would recommend to anyone.Tim and Jack visited me twice to assess my energy usage and assist me in ways to reduce it,They were incredibly thorough in looking at all aspects of my case and where changes/savings could be made. They provided me with a monitor which shows exact usage each day in monetary terms, and also a visible green to red spectrum which you can keep an eye on when you turn anything on, to immediately see how your consumption is affected at any given moment,, really useful.They gave me loads of tips for reducing my bills,supplied me with low energy usage replacement lightbulb , and even a lovely handmade draught excluder. And the service was completely free!Also, and not least, they were so very unassuming, kind, helpful and friendly, which, to me, is massively important when you are letting people into your home.

We had an Energy Audit done by BHESCO, Tim was very thorough and helpful when explaining the different improvements we could make. Would 100% recommend!

BHESCO serves the area and the country in important ways. As a customer, I've been impressed by how indepth and trustworthy the team are. As a local and global citizen, it gives me great hope to know there are ethical organisations like BHESCO doing what they can to transition to a sustainable future. More government support needed to scale these models. Excited to see what happens in the future for BHESCO with local councils who must deliver on energy targets.

Excellent help and advice! They saved me so much money and stress in finding a grant to replace my broken boiler, assessing my energy needs and usage to find me the best possible deals with energy suppliers, and also supplied some other heat/energy saving measures for me, all free of cost. Very sincere and helpful and expert advice, they really helped enormously during a particularly stressful time!
