Great shop and value for money Close to public transport

Dreadfully sad, dreary NOT-pound shop. Awful signage and nasty window display for an historic city, full of tat in taty displays. From phone cables that last days to £5 items that can be found cheaper elsewhere.I am impressed with the patience of the staff with English as a second language, doing their best to understand a request.

Deliberately fill shelves with £ 1 items and when you go to pay charge £ 2, then refuse to honour price displayed infringing retail act, assistant manager totally invented retails and consumer act, needs to be trained in telling the truth and general customer care, also needs to brush up on the English language and listen to the customersWill not set foot in Conland anywhereSeems this happens with many products and most customers realise if and when they check their receiptsRung head office who admitted assistant manager was wrong not to offer goods as priced,thus breaking the lawNo letter or mail with formal apologyA pity they do not have a trained manager on site

You can get your shopping here at least 50% cheaper. Some very well known brands so good stuff.

Sometimes the queue is too long and sometimes the prices aren't as good as they seem. But most of the prices are brilliant. There are certain things I will only buy from here.

Many Many items for daily use; Enough choice if one has patience to walk thru the shelves !

I am a regular customer to Poundland,St Albans due to location on St Peters Street close to the bus stops. I often drop in for a pint of milk or bread, yes there are food items to as well as a range of craft items for making your own Christmas cards. Great value and always a very friendly service. Sometimes busy and the queue a bit long but the staff work very hard and get though that queue at lightening speed. Always some new products in store so highly recommend a wander around the store.

Used to like shopping there but never seem to have what I want anymore

It was very busy with one person serving all the people out of work you would think they would employ more over the xmas season
