Mercure Birmingham West Hotel

Rooms V poor and if on top floor ask to be moved, I must have been beside a generator or something that was continued throughout the night. Gym changing rooms soaking wet and disgusting. Avoid this place.

Booked for xmas work outing, rooms are very tight however enough for one. Unfortunately the cleanliness and smell of the room was awful; somebody pubic hair was everywhere in the sink , shower on tiles even knitted into the towels so this obviously wasn't changed after the last occupan left. The smell was similar to that of Incredibly strong acrid inscence sticks which really affected my chest . The noise was all night by some kind of generator got about 4 hrs sleep .

Check in was good great staff, rooms were decentI dint have Breakfast included at check-in because it was just a quick pit-stop. sleep,wake up and leave but plans changed so I decided to have some food.Popped downstairs to the cafe, my name was not I the list of course and policy is to pay at the bar after, I was told this and I agreed, They had my room number and still hadn’t checked out.But I noticed a staff member just constantly staring and hovering around me through out my meal, even when I went to get a coffeeI din’t even finish my meal as soon as I stood up they guy was in my face cash or card.Told them off, paid for my food, asked for their names, they gave me nick names in prescription writing that I can’t read, eventually got their detailsthe rest is history

Not great experience, When checking in, you feel as if you were served by a McDonald's kiosk, without any emotions and only the desire to add something to the bill. The room and bathroom need a little refreshing. At check-out, the staff focused more on conversations between themselves than on the customer. Great location with large paid parking.

Fantastic hotel. Great service and food. Got booked for work, so didn't pay for it myself. The location seems fine to me, just staying in the hotel so have somewhere to stay whilst in training. The rooms where lovely and breakfast and evening meal where pretty good. Enjoyed my stay. Thank you

A great weekend as part of the Midlands Accordion Festival organised by Barry Smith. The staff were smart and helpful in all areas of the hotel. Only one concern, the disability ramp at the entrance to the hotel is uneven, rough not maid properly and overhanging branches and weeds and not really safe for disability use perhaps it could be sorted out for 2024. Thank you.

Great location, very clean and spacious rooms, good restaurant, buffet breakfast with loads of options, gym/pool/sauna available for guests, good wifi reception, very helpful staff at the front desk and restaurant.The only downside was the parking, it's available and spacious enough, but at an extra cost of £7.5 per day.

I attended the venue for an event for a day.Reception staff were very patient and helpful. Catering staff were very considerate and kind. Food and drink prices were a little high for what I'm used to, but the quality of the food was very good.
