Tesco Extra

Not sure if this is a regional or national problem, but lots of empty spaces on shelves and items spread out and duplicated to fill space. Also, very significant increases in prices of some basic items....more expensive for some items than my local Sainsbury's!

Friendly, helpful staff, good offers and spacious superstore. However, there are many items that are just underpriced by Aldi and Lidl, unjustifiably more expensive!

Big, spacious, fully stocked. Ample parking. Polite staff. I prefer this one even if it is slightly more expensive than express. Because at least I can get parked and get what I need with no faffing around.Also like the clothing section, haven't used the cafe so can't comment.

If I could leave no stars, I would.Absolutely appauled by the Tesco and cafe staff this evening. Alarger, older lady working in the cafe and the security guard.We visit and spend good money in the the shop / cafè sometimes both often numerous times each week.Tonight I visited with my Child - who may I mention is also Autistic and sat in the cafe, I purchased a drink from the Tesco shop and was told I couldn't consume it in the cafe which I abided by and sat there with my child, causing no issue, just awaiting my Husband and baby. This paticular member of staff stared at me like I had just urinated in her coffee the whole time we where sat there, came over twice previously to nit pick then quite abruptly asked us to leave as apparently the cafè was closing, however lots of other customers where still sat there. She approached no one else, only us.Then the icing on the cake was the security guard came over, baring in mind we where just sitting there, not causing an issue- with my child sat drawing and we where made to feel intimidated infront of the cafe, everyine staring as if we had done something seriously wrong with the security guard demanding we left. He stood over the table evan though we where getting our things together and I had a young child with me and proceeded in escorting us out as if we had commited some crime. Sorry to say it but I witnessed a lady thieving some plants when I was entering the shop so maybe he needs better trained in his job instead of concerning himself over a mother and child sitting on a seat.I couldn't imagine being that pathetic as to actually put my time and energy into getting a mother and child kicked out and now apparently 'barred' from a Tesco- the security guards words for sittiting on a seat In acafe like I have done many times before.I don't know who rubbed the old bag up the wrong wt I pity her. She must really take pride in her cafe job.We'll be taking our money elsewhere from now on. Pathetic!!!

Got everything you need for a big shop or just everyday essentials. Choice/variety has changed since they put the gym on the first floor, many products/brands disappeared after this, due to lack of space I assume, so although you will likely get the item you want it may not necessarily be in the brand you like.Updated Nov 22Since refurbished (not for the better) the shop doesn't really make much sense. The layout is all over, at least 2 aisles have been removed and loads of products aren't stocked anymore. Place is getting worse over time.

Couldn't find bereavement cards so asked a couple of young women adorned with smart uniforms and badges on ribbons. Not the usual friendly shelf stackers. They looked at each other and asked, whats bereavement". SAY NO MORE!!!"

Changes from last time I did my shopping at Tesco's completely condense the food the employees where spot on especially Tracy on the bread isle I was very impressed superlative shopping from start to finish

A really good range of food and homeware/clothes. Bit more expensive than the Tesco Express near us. The staff stocking in the aisles probably have a lot of work to do but they are always running into me or leaving their cart in the middle of the aisle even though there's space for it at the side. They just don't seem to have regard for those around them. Been ran into many a time. The lady on the Scan As You Shop tills was lovely though!
